| 7S Enthusiast | I just got my USB xtractor in the mail yesterday. And frankly I'm not happy with it. All these video tutorials showing how easy it is. Well they are all phony. This crap isn't easy its a PITA! The is a Virgin drive the Lite ON DG 16D2S FW 74850C so its not the new one that is said to fry the extractor. I here that Virgin drives you don't have to do the half open crap. Then I hear it has to be done to all drives. I mean what is it? Doesn't matter I've done both. Process for half open: Open the drive with the eject button. Unhook the power to the drive. close half way Pull Pin 3 Reinstall power cable to drive Try and run both programs listed above. Now of course following the Virgin drive thing you just try and run the programs with the xtractor on spot 707 or what ever it is. The blue light is steady. I have no yellow ? marks in the system settings. This is not a via board its IP35. So the whole sata via thing isn't my problem. The xtractor shows to be com 3 so I select it and it shows it in the programs. I try to get key with the following results: Jungle Flasher: ****WARNING*****Serial Data is Bad Xtractor Reader: (Granted this one actually shows **** in the window that looks like Computer code) Error (BC=0) Things to try A)Restart the Liteon Drive and click again B)Restart the Liteon Drive and QUIT-Reenter to the application Make sure u have TX Bridged and tray is half open |

| Diet Mod ![]() | Re: i needdd help [plz read] Ok, well since you are opening with the eject button there is a good chance you are leaving a open status which will cause it not to work. First try move the probe around in different postions in the hole. If that doesnt work then. 1. load up computer. 2. start jungleflasher and go to the dvd32 key tab or whatever its called. 3. leave the drive on. 4. Use this tutorial to open the drive manually, How to Manually Open Your Xbox 360 DVD Drive 5. Do no unplug the power cable at all. Also do not pull any wires out of it. 6. after opening it manually try reading the key. Now if that doesn work then, Before you open the drive manually. Disconnect the power cable open manually Then connect power cable back in back of drive. Again do not pull any wires. then try to read the key. Most likely you shouldn't even have to get to the third option. Last edited by EclipseModz; 11-05-2009 at 09:33 PM. |
