You might as well just flash and use a burned disk unless you want to hotswap everytime.

I can't be sure as games don't install fully to the hard drive.

I would think the games fully installs to the hardrive, except when the xbox checks to see if the games is in the drive then it plays everything of the HDD and i would think Hot swapping would fix this for you, Good Luck.

Almost every game doesn't install EVERY PART of the game to the hard drive, So I don't know if it puts maps or what on the HDD.

False, Go install any game and I HIGHLY DOUBT it installs everything by the size.

Well for most games (like halo 3) the whole game does NOT install to the HDD.

Sorry to break the bad news to you. But you are not supposed to install Halo 3 to your harddrive. It actually decreases the performance of the game loading times.

Don't label something as false unless you know it for a fact. You're taking assumptions (what you assume to be true, but have no evidence to back it up) and using them as fact. WRONG.

I know for a fact that most games do not install the whole disk to the drive, That would be almost as inefficient as running it from the disk. Game devs instead install parts (engine, maps, characters, etc.) to the Hard Drive and keep other essentials on the disk. There are a select few that do install the whole game, but most of them do not.

Re: hotswaping to repair scratches.

Now here comes Eclipse too clear this up.(With some evidence)
Doodle you are wrong. The 360 does install the whole game.

When you rip a game to your PC. You get a 7.3GB(7.29) .ISO file. This is because it copies everything.(Security files, random padding, ect...)

When your 360 installs a game it makes a smaller file. This is not because it leaves out game data. It does install the whole game. This is because it does not copy all of the random padding, security files, ect... It only copies the files needed to run the game. Which is why you get a smaller file. This is the whole game, just because it is a smaller file does not mean it is missing things.

Now to prove this i have taken a little bit of time to get some evidence for what I am telling you.

Battlefield Bad Company
PC Kreon Rip - 7.3GB
All game files extracted out of .ISO - 4.89GB
Xbox 360 installed game - 4.9GB

ODST
PC Kreon Rip - 7.3GB
All game files extracted out of .ISO - 3.44GB
Xbox 360 installed game - 3.5GB

Gears of War 2
PC Kreon Rip - 7.3GB
All game files extracted out of .ISO - 6.24GB
Xbox 360 installed game - 6.3GB
