| 7S Enthusiast | Re: Need Help With Flashing Xbox360 Also, the only way to find out what your Current FW is you need to take apart the xbox and look at the drive sticker. I recommend using jungleflasher, check the stickies for the PDF with a tutorial. Last edited by doodlebro; 11-03-2009 at 12:09 PM. |

| 7S Enthusiast | Re: Need Help With Flashing Xbox360 You need a SATA card with a VIA6421 chipset to communicate with your drive. You might also need a probe if the drives current firmware is a 7XXXXC, If the FW is an 8XXXXC then all you need is the card, and if it is a 9XXXXC you can't flash it... yet. | 7S Enthusiast | Re: Need Help With Flashing Xbox360 You really shouldn't be worrying about the warranty sticker if you'll be taking it all apart, and Hair Drying it off is not something I recommend because it gets the xbox very hot as well. I recommend getting the Card from Newegg, its 19.98 with shipping. |

| Diet Mod ![]() | Re: Need Help With Flashing Xbox360 Need either a CK3 with probe or Xtractor360 with spear if you have a lite-on with the 7xxxx firmware. If you have a lite-on with the 8xxxx firmware then all you need is the card. I suggest opening your 360 before ordering because there is no way of telling from the outside. |

| 7S Enthusiast | Re: Need Help With Flashing Xbox360 As for the probe, I recommend building one using this video: It costs less than $10 and works just as well as the ones you can order. If you or someone you know can solder, you can make one |

| Diet Mod ![]() | Re: Need Help With Flashing Xbox360 A hair dryer will not get the 360 to a point where its damaging. The only thing that would even be barely vulnerable to any damage is the rf board. Other than that. You cannot damage the motherboard or dvd drive with the hair dryer. Either way. You should only be heating the sticker for about 10seconds after that 10 seconds you just start to peel it with the hairdryer blowing in the direction you are peeling the sticker off and it will help it come off even more smoothly. |
