| Novice | More help :P Ok, when I have my xbox flashed and lets say a new version comes out do I HAVE to upgrade right away? Or is it ok to play on burned discs online that I downloaded all ready? |

| 7S Enthusiast | Re: More help :P Usually when I new update comes out it is due to microsoft releasing a new wave or finding a way to detect the version, I don't recommend connecting before updating. |

| Diet Mod ![]() | Re: More help :P The past two firmwares have been made for game video partions. No stealth issues or anything. They really can't catch the firmware modification. But what they do catch is your backups. If they were able to detect the firmware that we have now it would be the end to every flashed 360. The newer firmwares respond as original, act as original do everything like the original firmware does but with some extra features. 1.3 was the last detected firmware that there was a MASSIVE ban wave with. 1.4 was the newer undetected firmware 1.5 was to increase the stealth features 1.51 was to allow for wave 3 1.6 added a dumping feature wit SS2 dumping and activate.iso to allow for one-shot boot 1.61 adds the ability to play wave 4 without activate.iso There is rarely an update for MS detection method. |
