Flashing help

[L1L Nasty]

Im super new to flashing and would like all kind comments/tips/ect.

Im on a pretty old laptop and my alienware desktop just recently died from a virus is there anyway i can flash my Benq xbox from my laptop?

My laptop is Compaq Evo N800v.
Chip is, i845mp, with an integrated ddr memory controller, AGP 4x, ATA-100 support, and so on.

And what do I need to buy to flash? Thanks!

I'm worried about how your desktop is "useless" due to a virus...

AFAIK you really can't do it from your laptop... Unless you find a PCMCIA card with a VIA sata chipset. Search Newegg.

As for tips, just poke around at the tuts... Personally I find the easiest method to be jungleflasher for Benq's, but try something else out if it looks easier

Step 1. Wipe your harddrive clean on the desktop.
Step 2. Reinstall a 32-bit OS.
Step 3. Buy a VIA6421 card.
Step 4. Install card and portIO
Step 5. Follow a tutorial.
