Help on flashing plze

ok i opened up my xbox i bought yestrday to get free games. it is a jasper and i want to flash it. people have been telling me that if i take the ps1 sony laser scanner, and replace it it give me 1.61 firmware and played wave 5 games. Can some one give me a TuT on how to do this?
