Yes DosFlash1.8 does support 83850c lite-on.

I thought jungleflasher dont work in vista x64
PortIO does not work in a 64-bit OS. Jungleflasher does. But you can't flash with jungleflasher without portIO installed. Hence not being able to flash with Jungleflasher in a 64-bit OS.

The whole point in heating the sticker to take it off is to have it to put back on when done. So yes you could send the 360 back.

I would love to give you a 100% answer but im not 100% sure on it. The drive should not be locked anymore and should respond to the MTK Vendor intro right off the bat. But if you connect it and press yes and power cycle the drive and it doesnt work. Then yes follow step 1 to get it to start then run the Lite-on erase flashing task and keep going from step 6

Its actually really easy. As long as you read it through a couple of times its extremely easy.

So I just wanna see if I can get a clear answer to this.

I am in the process of modding my new system. Now, can I just move my Hardrive from my old system(banned from live) to my new system(unbanned from live) safely?

Or is this not recomended? In other words can MS track me via my Hardrive somehow? And ban me again?

The only thing that is affected in a ban is the console itself. Harddrives and gamertags are not touched and are free to move to another console.

THx for the tutorial.I have two question, im just updating my firmware from 1.51 to 1.61(when it comes out):
1- Do i have to leave the tray half open?(i already have the key and everything.. just need to creat de CFW)
2-Do i have to use the VIA card or can i use any chipset that works with jungleflasher to make the dosflash work?(i update my firmware from 1.5 to 1.51 using jungle flasher +windows xp, but now im using 7 64 bits thats y im asking it).

If you have the VIA card you might as well use it. If you don't then its a gamble whether or not your onboard chipset is compatible. Most are not.

Also to update it as long as you have your key. All you have to do is erase and flash it.

Im pretty sure itll work i checked the compatible chipset list and it says that nforce4 its ok,so ill just have to wait for the firmware to comeout.

upgrading 1.51 -> 1.6 on lite-on windows 7x64, NOT using connectivity kit, dosflash 1.8 does not see the lite-on, but that's not what i am asking

How can I obtain the DVD drive key w/o using the probe/conn. kit? is it possible?
