How to Firmware Mod your Xbox 360 using Windows 7 64-bit

I just attempted to use the 79Unlock audio cd, and use the 79unlock feature within jungleflasher, but that didn't succeed either:

Executing code in Ram
Ram Execute command failed.

Was hoping that would allow DosFlash to read, but no luck.

Ok, well if you can be a little more patient, I'm hoping that we can get you some better answers soon. I'm sorry I couldn't help you so far If only I could try it on my friends Xbox that I know has a hitachi...but he lives 6 hours from here and everyone is scared sh*tless around here to get their boxes modded.

Hey no worries, thanks for trying. Wanted to give you an update - I've just tried Firmware Toolbox 4.8 while in ModeB. It finds the drive successfully, and then after the Eject/Close buttons, it 'Cannot Read from Disc'. Windows has no problem playing a DVD from the drive however. So no luck there either.

Once you open/close it deactivates modeb I believe...I could be wrong. But if I remember correctly from when I modded my friends box, I kept opening on closing it and on like the 3rd or 4th time it finally could read it.

Did you play the 79 Unlock?

Has to be in this order

Mode-b-->79 Unlock CD-->Dump

Now if you played the 79unlock and it gave you that then DosFlash can't read the Hitachi drive.

Also Azzid I can't test the Hitachi's any further as the one i have here is a 79FL and it has a dead laser so i can't do the unlock to it. Unless i do the manual unlock.

I'll try doing the 79Unlock manually tonight, I have tried to use JungleFlasher's option but it failed -something along the lines of "Writing to RAM, RAM check failed"

I have windows 7 64 bits and i was able to flash my samsung toshiba 28ms with this great tutorial i use my sata card rosevelly VIA Sata Card with Chipset 6421

the only question is if i can flash any others xbox 360 with the same sata Card 6421 ?

And so far, this tutorial only works with BenQ and Samsung.

i did but there is no solution to it i am trying to find another way for it.
if i use jungle flasher and dosflash both doesn't find my xbxo 360 drive but my computer does, and sometimes the jungle flasher stops responding.

By next week i will have my full conclusion whether or not DosFlash can flash a Hitachi.

Right now. I am leaning towards no.

Firmware toolbox is another option you have for a Hitachi.

I got a question...

I did everything but for some reason DosFlash is not reading my 360

I did what you said for disabling the via card

only thing im thinking is you said make sure if i have any sata dvd drives they are unplugged..

My primary harddrive that has windows 7 installed on uses a sata cable...

does that mean I cant flash it cause theres no way I can do anything without the harddrive turned on...
