That isn't a modchip. That is something you use to update your firmware easier and is a big waste of money. Modchips are obsolete for the 360. You just flash your firmware for the same result, being able to play burnt games.

The point I was clarifying was does the new 360 with the Jasper chipset still used the same drives covered by this softmod, not whether I was reading it correctly

Yes, all drives are flashable at the moment. Otherwise in the original post I would have said "except for this drive"

You have a 64bit OS? If thats the case you can't flash with jungleflasher. You will need to do it with dosflash.

If you have 2 pc's and can get on aim with one and flash with the other i can walk you through in dosflash.

I was thinking of flashing my 360, it looks pretty simple.. But, I'm scared of messing it all up >_> Is it easy to flash a Hiatchi drive? Also, could I open my 360 with out a Torx 10? + If I break it, would I be able to take it back to the shop and get a new one?
Oh yeah, do you have to buy them chipset things?

You need a VIA6421 sata pci card
You need the torx 10, without it you cannot unscrew the screws holding the 360 together.
Hitachi's are a mixture of easy and hard. Depending which versoin you have.
