Have you gone through all the port numbers in jungleflasher?

If you have your VIA drivers installed, and portio drivers installed and its not picking up the drive. I would say the card is dead.

Could always try using a different pci slot in your computer too.

Yes I have tried all of the ports. I've tried both ways but do I keep the VIA drivers installed or uninstalled?

I have both VIA drivers installed and PortIO and never have any problems. Go into device manager and see if your card shows up.

I've tried two pci slots and still doesn't work. Maybe it's because I have windows xp sp3? I've had some other problems because of sp3.

Shouldn't matter. I'd say its your sata card that is just failing.

hey eclipse, I'm really new to this flashing drive stuff, but you said that your way with ms dos its safe to play online...is the way to to do it with jungleflasher also safe to play online? thanks

I hate to confirm something stupid, because I see you say that currently all Xbox 360 Drives are flashable.
However, when I click the link, to go to the JungleFlasher Tutorial, it says to not even try to mod a Lite-on 93450C, because it will not work?

Is this still true?

How can you tell what firmware is on your drive?

For lite-ons.
7xxxx Firmware is readable. With a probe
8xxxx Firmware is readable with the freekey method.
9xxxx Firmware has no known dumping method yet. These drives are very new. You have to give it some time.

As for knowing what version you have.
On the label bottom left hand corner there is a firmware revision #. That is how you know. It will start with either a. 7, 8, or 9

I have flashed one drive a benq i used dosflash64 and jf to make the moded firmware
i followed one of the TUT to do this and loaded portio64.sys for dosflash, i kepted dosflash running and started jf, in the TUT it said jf would use the portio64 driver but when started it says no communication ports found durring numeration also in the bottom left corner it says no portio driver found. ANY HELP

Jungleflasher is unusable in a 64bit OS. Only good for making modded firmware, and spoofing drives.

DosFlash64 utilizes the portio64.sys to find the drives while being in windows. Jungleflasher does not. You actually have to install the portio drivers. Which there is no 64 bit version to install for it at this moment.

Most likely no. I don't think they have even bothered working on drivers for 64bit. Its best to do one of these two.
1. Use DosFlash64 to flash
2. Boot into DosFlash to flash

Dosflash64 was straight forward to use, but is there certain drives you can't flash in Dosflash64, like the Hitachi
