Xbox 360 Hack Pack RC1

amazing stuff. I used to come to this site to read up on modding the old xbox, patching halo maps etc - I decided just today to mod my 360, as I now have 2, and I want to get it done before the nov19th update to the dashboard. My question is, should I, for the first time modding my 360, do it the old fashioned way, or does the utility make it so that it's now a pretty automated process? I only ask because I'm lazy , and if I don't have to manually dump/flash etc, I would prefer not to. Plus, I haven't exactly completely read up yet, so I'd basically be going into the app blind. Kind of makes me nervous.

Uh did you manage to read the post at all? or even look at the picture?

Hmm, does this new dashboard update break the flashing process or something? I'm really new to this, and I wasnt sure if I could update my dashboard and go online with legit games while having my firmware flashed.

Info: Xbox 360 Elite, BenQ drive.

As far as anyone one knows the new dashboard update has not installed any type of detection for "hacked" firmware. You should be ok after the update, but I'd wait until Nov. 19 to be sure.

Hey, just an update
Was having some HUGE problems getting this ***** to work. Tried it on various PC's, had very little luck getting the drive to be recognized, pretty much had given up hope. Here are a few tips for people:

First of all, make sure you read the entire directions at least once, before you do ANYTHING.

Secondly, all the guides direct you to use a specitic type of software, i would recomend using that software. My biggest problem came from using the newer version of Iprep, which would not read my drive on anything other then a VIA PCI SATA card. I belive its version .0.0.7.03 or whatever. Use the Version 6 stuff, and it should work great.

That version booted up perfectly, ran on my Nforce chipset drivers, and updated without a hitch.

the Noob's guide was very helpfull, would highly recomend using it.

P.S.

Just installed the new NSX dashboard update on my hacked console, nothing happend, it just looks a whole lot cooler. Still play's my burned games perfectly and I am having no issues.


One very random question though.. When new versions of the "Xtreme 1.xx" firmware come out, do I need to flash my bios back to factory, and then reflash it to the new versions, or can i go directly from 1.41 to 1.xx?

No need to flash your firmware back to original, just flash with the newest firmware.

I found a WINDOWS XP computer I could plug my hitachi drive into. everything looks good. drive shows up and everything. then when i go to flash, this happens. please help

hi, i've been reading a lot about how to read dvd copys of my owned games, just wondering if it is possible to add an external or internal non official hdd to xbox and play the game without de original game, im afraid to scrach the dvd's..

if im asking for illegal things im sorry, or if your awnser is agains forum rules, awnser my by pm or mail,

Not off of a HDD, but if you follow the hack pack directions specifically you can burn ur disks then play off of burned disks.

Your drive doesn't need to be hacked to connect to your PC, but that is how you hack it

Hey just threw some old computer parts together and made me an XP machine. Software installed ok, but will not check for updates or update firmware. Any ideas? Works great on my Vista Machine.

A few quick questions, for the author or for anyone else who might know:

1. Will the program designed for XP possibly work for Windows 2000? I know the operating systems are pretty similar, and I am trying to do this on a system that I can't load XP onto.

2. My other issue is that I can't figure out a way in my BIOS to access any other boot function but from CD (I can also do it from the floppy drive as a very last resort, but wouldn't really want to). My question is: Does my computer need to be able to boot directly from a flash/jump drive in order for this to work, or can I flash my drive by simply booting from the CD-ROM drive?

By the way, I am planning on using a SATA PCI adapter to flash a Hitachi 79 drive, if this info makes any difference.
