Prevent Xbox from connecting to Live?

I've been prowling through these threads looking for an answer to this, but have not had any success as yet. I'm sure someone here knows how though.

My 360 has not yet been banned and I'd rather like to keep it that way. At the moment, my secret involves keeping the ethernet cable unplugged ;)

The down side of this is that I stream a lot of media through the xbox and currently have to disconnect my broadband from the phone line each time I want to watch a video streamed from my NAS.

But it occurs to me that Live must use a specific port or that I should be able to tell my modem/router to block the MAC address of the xbox from accessing the internet.

So, my question is: is there a single Live port I can disable, or is there a way of blocking the 360 entirely... while still allowing local area network access?

***************

EDIT (a couple hours later):

Right. Solved my own problem.

Set a static IP and then blocked all ports for that IP on my modem/router.

Xbox connects to the NAS and all other LAN items, but testing Live connection on the box itself comes back as a fail even for detecting the local network.

Perfect.

Effect on gamertags when moving HDD between banned and unbanned

I just bought a banned xbox360 with no HDD.
I also have an unmodded (and unbanned) xbox360 with a HDD that has my xbox live gamertag, let's call it GamerTagClean.

I want to know if I can do the following safely, without screwing up GamerTagClean:

1) Create GamerTagJunk.
2) Move HDD to banned xbox360
3) Play games offline on banned xbox360 using GamerTagJunk
4) Move the HDD back to my unmodded xbox360
5) Play xbox live with GamerTagClean

I've read in other posts about people having saved games, data, etc. corrupted on their HDD once they've been banned. I'm just wondering if the corruption is done at a gamer tag level or the HDD level.

Obviously I don't want to try the above scenario if it will screw up my valid GamerTagClean and my ability to save games and download content to my HDD when using my unmodded xbox.

Does anyone have any insight to this?

I really, really, really do not want to corrupt GamerTagClean, but would still like to be able to save games on the modded xbox with GamerTagJunk.

Basically what the title says I can't connect to xbl. I've had the same settings for the past 3 months and I'm sure nothing has changed. I have my connection bridged with my xbox and pc. xbox>Pc>Router and I'm on my pc right now. The fact that I can get online with my computer but not my xbox makes 0 sense. Has anyone else had any trouble? I'd call support but wtf do they no.
