Yup. 8 megapixels. There have been a slew of 8mp phones latley. The LG Renoir, the LG KC780, the Samsung INNOV8, the Samsung Pixon, the Sony Ericsson C905a, and the SE Hikaru.

Samsung is working on a 12 megapixel phone.


And also, the Samsung A867 (Eternity) is scheduled to come out in the beginning of November for $99.

If you want to find the Epix the best place would to be to go to a corporate store or Best Buy, authorized retailers generally don't get phones right when they come out.

And most, if not all of the phones listed here should be out before Christmas.

bestbuys around her dont have them. plus all these bestbuys sale phones at like 20+ bucks more than the att stores.

and i only use the big official att stores. not the retailers.

The Quickfire, Matrix, Slate, Fuze(Touch Pro), Propel, Blackberry Bold, and RAZR V9x have all launched.

The Eternity and Nokia 6650 will be available tomorrow.
And the LG Incite (C810) should be available soon, it was spotted on an AT&T rebate form.

im hoping to get this. im over my two year contract and i can upgrade as soon as we pay our bill. ha. my phone just said i had half battery like litterally 45 minutes ago and now its dead. this is a constant pattern lately. also, my backplate is broken and the battery can fall out and keeps getting knocked loose by hitting the inside of my pocket. lol

Yeah, I was going to ask for the Epix but I played with one today and I didn't really like it.

yeah, well i played with one today and i loved it. it is the coolest phone ive ever help IMO. even better than the iphone (which is actually kind of over-rated) but the eternity is also a bad mamajama. i like it too. Samsung is making a handfull of phones with beast-mode installed on them this year.

A Sony Ericsson C905a showed up on eBay, the picture shows the AT&T startup/shutdown sequence. The seller also says the phone has the 850/1900mhz 3G bands. It looks like AT&T could be getting this 8.1mp beast.

AT&T readying Samsung Eternity to rival LG Vu


AT&T plans to add a second TV-ready touchscreen phone within the space of a month, a leak from Engadget would reveal. Tentatively nicknamed the Eternity, the Samsung a867 will have a touchscreen and a MediaFLO digital TV tuner like the LG Vu but should improve its predecessor on several fronts. A sharper three-megapixel camera, a microSDHC slot and a native 3.5mm headphone jack should suit it more as a media player than the Vu; assisted GPS is also slated for the Eternity. Similar to the Vu, the Samsung model isn't described as a smartphone and so will compete more against high-end media phones. Samsung will bring its in-house operating system with a TouchWiz layer rather than use Windows Mobile like some of its touch devices. The leak would have the Eternity ship in November for $149 with a two-year plan.
