| Novice | Here is my first post, love your forum, followed alot of your guides and got some good **** off them. So however I suppose its my time to post. Today was nerd day, busted out wireshark and notepad and began running some test. I've been able to download the map packs directly too me PC from microsofts website. The xbox 360 doesn't encrypt its HTML traffic so I was able to grab the links. However the map packs come in a compressed file that could possibly be encrypted as well. Obviously the file is then decompressed on the console and extracted and then either signed or left alone. So here are the links to those. Quote: download.xbox.com/content/4156081c/e12d7b2c95f3a88ccb65b3da0a65f8a377e077a8.xcp Makin day COD5 download.xbox.com/content/4156081c/8bce7252243411e912cb52e1935328f29beb1af4.xcp Map Pack 1 COD5 download.xbox.com/content/4156081c/2cf93973c9a1cea807fd0a2f99e2b0791e1e5695.xcp Map Pack 2 COD5 download.xbox.com/content/4156081c/eb02d36e09e9878fc1f3966f2b1a93f9226f28d2.xcp Map Pack 3 COD5 Also Microsoft content does come from a variety of servers in there DNS pool but the main server that the content is pulled off of appears to be Quote: content.xbox.com.edgesuite.net And as noted they may be encrypted file types as well. Just saying. I've looked throughout the forum 10,000 times and people always tell you that map packs can't be shared. Why can't they? Are they signed by your GT? I don't think so. I downloaded the map packs via console, xported them to my pc, deleted the GT that purchased them & the maps themselves, and then used a completely different GT to access them after re-xporting them to my hard drive. Are they signed by your HD/Console Serial? I honestly didn't take the time to bother with this one. I will be uploading a copy of Map Pack 1 that has been decompressed, and I am in need of someone who can assist me with furthering methods to share map packs with the general public, I mean come on who wants to pay for them. So anyone who would like to help, heres the requirements. Must be 16 years old or older Must be computer savvy, and be able to use xport 360 and be able to remove/add content. Must be willing to use teamviewer/vnc both as a client and host assure things are done correctly and can be able to trouble shoot. Ideal: willing to back up and delete his/her own copies of the maps. having never purchased the maps or having a gamertag that has not purchased them. trusted member of the forum. So anyone out there who can benefit from this and or contribute, add me on xbl gt: null 42o or AIM: chjis and rarely.. MSN: chris@blackball.ws |
