How to appear dead on the ground.

I've found lots of posts that say rapidly tapping Y while laying on the ground makes your appear dead. I found another method that I think is a little bit better, all you need is c4, rpg, or a claymore on you, switch from the Left D-Pad item that you have (rpg, c4, claymore) and back to your weapon, it doesn't need to be SUPER fast but at a decent speed and it looks ALOT better. I've also found that by placing the right side of your body onto something, some stairs, something on the ground you look REALLY dead.

I've never tried this in the game b4 does it make ppl run by you or just not pay attention?

honestly i haven't game tested it that much, but i know this definetly increases your chances of people not noticing you

Well if that's the case I'd like to at least give it a try, but then again when I'm playing I'm trying not to act dead and make people dead if you know what I mean.

Its pretty useful in headquarters. I had games where I just l go prone right in the middle of the room and being there for 30+ seconds and still not being noticed even though they can't capture the headquarters.

did you have one of your friends watch and tell you if you look dead or not?
obviously in game some people are very cautious/aggressive and shoot anything that has a head...

thats how i play, i shoot dead people. In games with people that can go prone i tend to be paranoid about any body on the ground.

obviously theres now 100% way to look dead, cod made the game so when you die on the ground some of your body actually goes into the ground, im sure there is no way to perfectly replicate this.

this is why i always win HQ on shipment. use c4 and throw one on the hq and do the dead glitch until the whole team tries to surround and destroy the hq.... BOOM!

I just lay in other people's dead bodies.

If their body is in a reasonable position, you can sometimes lay in it and to most people who don't pay too much attention, you really do look dead.

I think the best way to look dead is just to get shot or blown up by a nade.
