M16 less than 3 round burst fire

Ok, I have done several hours of research on this, read many blogs and forum posts, and have yet to come up with an answer, so I'm comming to my friends here. More and more recently, I have been getting killed by an M16 that is firing single shots or 2 round bursts. Let me hopefully prevent some dumb responses by saying it is NOT an M4. I am on my 9th prestige, and I know the difference between the two. The M4 has the grip you hold with your left hand, while with the M16 your hand is under the barrel, among other differences. Please don't respond saying it's an M4. That being said, anybody know how the hell this is being done??? It is firing single shots or 2 round bursts, but no automatic fire. I have seen it done with a variety of perks, cammos, and attachments, there doesn't seem to be any consistency or patterns there. Any input other than it being an M4 is most welcome.

But how would the connection change how many rounds are fired?

It doesnt, but your xbox only receives 1 or 2 of those bullets... Its like sometimes Ill unload with an LMG and get killed anyways, but on the Killcam I shoot MAYBE once.

Hmm... Maybe that's it. I haven't been able to think of anything else, and neither has anybody else. I'll update if I find any new info.

And if your watching it from the kill cam, the cam is not always exactly right...its wierd.

But you know, it's been people on my team too. Like, when we cap the HQ and I die, I'll be spectating, and sometimes their M16s do it too. I got absolutely nothing on this one.

well, spectating and the kill cam are pretty much the same thing...its just the m16 fires those 3 shots pretty fast and sometimes your game/server doesnt regester those shots and play them for you. On the poeples screen who are shooting, they shoot the full 3, but u may only see 1 or 2

could it be that the first or second bullets just dont hit you so you dont feel/notice them and you still live?

The person can miss a the first shot and hit you with the rest. So its hard to say. but i would put my money on lag and game just not registering the bullets.

yea, but i do think the M16 is actually firing the rounds on the persons screen.

The person who shoots, he sees the 3 shots, but the person being killed doesnt always. I have seen if before. Im positive its just lag and the game server.

I got the same thing too, except I did the shots. The problem is in the server, I'm running all of the sudden a guy comes out the corner and kills me after I waste halve a clip on him!>.< Then when I look at the kill cam I only hear 4-9 rounds being fired. Don't even compare the RIFLES and SMG's to the LMG's, it's even worse. If you spot someone first and shoot, then somehow get killed, watch your kill cam. You should see only maybe halve or less the shots you originally fired. And a lot of bullets not even hitting your target.>.<
