how boot people when host?

iv been reading all threads to do with cod4 and none have told me how to kick people from the game if your the host. if any1 knows how to could you please message it to me or tell me a thread to go to to find the answer? thnx alot benm.

Not that I am condoning doing this but without knowing their IP Address I believe it is impossible to boot any 1 specific person. If you do have it, then you can just put their IP ADDRESS into ZA and block it.

There is an option to "kick player" when you press "A" on someone's name. It seems that it's always grey'd out for me though. Is this option available when you're host?

I know for a fact that when you are host you can kick anyone in your party (the KICK option isnt grayed out), before you search for a game...



But im not sure if you can KICK anyone after you found one...

Im not even sure who the "REAL" host is after you found a game... or if he has any kind of kicking ability...

Im not even sure ive hosted an entire game...

you can only kick players from private matches, if you are the host

you cannot kick anyone from ranked match lobbies if you are the host, even if they are in your party

If you mean IP flooding that is not to be discussed on the forums. There is the option when host to kick a player, thats legal. IP flooding is not.

Sorry I probably shouldn't have answered his question on the forum. I also didn't know that it was called this and that it was illegal. My mistake.

You just have to know when you are the host. And people rarely know that unless in cage match or team tactical

even if you are the host you CANNOT kick ANYBODY out of a ranked match even from your own party. this has already been said a few times...

you just use zonealarm.

and that is not illegal.
it's just like not letting someone come round your house after saying everyones invited, that aint illegal.

It's easy, you'll know your the host if you got a star on the right side of your gamer tag. LOL I too have problems, the kick sign is always blocked off. Why..Why won't you light up?

The only way to do it when your host is to block the IP in ZAP.
You dont have host when you have the party leader star either.
Its basically random but when the game is starting press the back button and see if your name with ALL the bars in green are there. Your probably host

As best I can tell, no one's actually ANSWERED his question. Oh wait. Yes they have. The question was 'can you boot people when host?'.

The answer is yes, and I didn't see anyone explain the method. Here's how to do it.

BOOT PEOPLE OFF HOST

(CoD4 + WaW method, by Abneris)

Programs
- Cain and Abel
- ZoneAlarm Pro (whichever one has the 'net firewall)

Method
1. Game starts (you gotta have host though, or this whole thread is redundant for you)
2. Have Cain and Abel open, and poison on the Router+Xbox. Once IP's stop appearing, STOP poisoning.
3. The IP's connected to your host will appear. Find the IP you want to boot.

- Don't know which IP to boot? If someone's annoying you, ask them where they're from, and they should say like 'Dallas', or 'LA', or something like that. This helps. Open []THIS WEBSITE < and enter in a random IP from the ones in Cain and it should track the IP to where abouts it is located (won't tell address, just the server they're ISP is, which, if the correct IP was selected, will be the same place, or near, the place where the kid said it was. This helps you boot the RIGHT person, and not one of your friends or someone in the game that's not doing anything wrong -

4. In ZoneAlarm, go to Internet Zones, and add an IP Address, the pop-up box will appear. First of all, select 'BLOCKED'. Enter the IP, press OK and apply.

5. Go to the two firewalls TRUSTED and INTERNET, and set both to medium.

6. When you're finally ready, begin poisoning again on Cain and the kid should time out in about 5 - 15 seconds.
