How to Bridge Host

First of all you are going to need Zone Alarm Pro, (you might have this from bridging Halo 2). And you are also going to need Cain and Abel.

1. Open up Zone Alarm and click "Firewall".
2. Click the "Zones" tab.
3. At the bottom right corner click "Add".
4. Click "Add IP Range".
5. Enter Xbox Live's IP Address. 65.59.234.1 - 65.59.234.255
6. Now above the IP Range click the "Zone" Set it as trusted.
7. Now enter your IP address and set it as trusted.
8. Now enter Infinity Ward's IP address: 69.60.4.143, set it to trusted.
9. Finally save changes and keep Zone Alarm open.
10. Go into a ranked lobby, ex...Team Deathmatch...etc
11. If you are the first one into the lobby you are host.
12. If not, you are not host.
13. Have fun ending games!!!

PS, you actually didn't need Cain and Abel. Sorry for the confusion.

ya old doesn't work after the update u might be able to ivite people but u will be host for the first 5 seconds then u will lose it research other things becuase this is old if u havn't noticed that isn't going to do anything and u do need cain and able or other things just depends what ur bridging on u can't get host with just a firwall u have to set up a bridge before u do that and this isn't a full tutorial

Actually, I tried this tonight and it did work with the new patch (update). I was also able to invite friends into my party without setting their IP to trusted. My network is not even bridged. It is fully working for me and I get host every time. I don't quite know what the trouble is for you though.

ok can u standby can u cheat in any way can other people that aren't your friends join ur party because anybody can invite there friends to a game

Also put your Firewall on Medium when searching for games...

And if anyone is in your party, Use Cain and Abel to find their IP addresses and also set them to trusted. Sorry for the multiple posts, I kept forgetting what I was going to write.

It changes, when you add it, you add it as an IP range. This method doesn't work anymore because the update a while back but you can do some things along these lines to get host now.

some dumb brit on xbl the other day was telling me how host gave you an advantage on cod4?
i dont think so... it's not halo 2 anymore.
but IM or email me what else you can do with host besides just ending the game and inv friends...

You can standby the other players so they are frozen but you can still kill them. You can kick people out of the game with you still in it. There are a bunch of things you can do when you are host.

This only works with ICS bridging (use search).

Once you have that set up, just go into Zone Alarm and add the IPs and then set your Internet Zone Security to High. Then go into a match and it will keep searching. Finally, you won't find any games and you'll be forced to make your own match. Then you turn off your firewall (or put it to Medium) so people can join. Voila, you are host!

Not only can you do all that but host has a advantage anyways since all of the host shots are registered and most of the shots that other players shoots will not be register. You can also use Net tools to make everyone lag or freeze them without you getting disconnected.

You can set how much lag you want people to experience.

upd flooder is what you use to lag people. Set the ip to 27.27.27.27 and copy and paste data many times. Set the speed to 10.

I had my firewall on high, but I still found a match very quickly, what am I doing wrong? Anyone mind helping me bridge? I don't mean bridge host but bridge my connections, I don't know how lol. I can't PM because I don't have 5 posts. I have never done this before and have no idea what I'm doing.I followed what a guy said earlier for bridging and this is what it says when I go into my network connections-(I'm using windows XP, I have Verison Internet)

My setup is that I have my xbox connected to my router through an ethernet cable, and I have my computer connected through my router with an ethernet cable.
