Re: Standbying for host when with a group

Hard to understand. Maybe upload a video? Is this bridging yourself host?

Re: Standbying for host when with a group

I will upload a video later and yes, it is like bridging yourself host, it makes you host because when you switch your friends to internet, it will block them from getting host, why you ask? because when migrating host comes up and you put your firewall on high, it will make them lag along with the rest. You put them on Internet because thats the only way they stay on your team without you putting them on block. It won't give them host and it wont kick them out of the game. If you have them on trusted, you are bridging one of your friends host, when you have it on block it will kick them. So the only way to make sure they stay on your team and make sure they dont get host is if you put them on internet and lag them a bit when migrating host comes up. and you are the only one on your trusted, so it AUTOMATICALLY goes to you.

I have been playing with this method all night. I think it will be easier to explain with a video.
Its all pretty simple if you actually put your head to thinking. Also you will get continous host, after the game ends, you will get host over and over and over.

If you need help, add me on msn or PM me. Or you could just post here questions.

Good tutorial, but it's kind of pointless to standby for host like this. The reason being would be that you have to bridge someone host and then steal it back from them. Then once you have host if you want to standby you can't unless you have another bridger in your party to keep his firewall on high to keep you having host. And if you have another bridger than there would be no point in even standbying for host. Just my oppinion, but thanks for releasing this.

I get continuous host after I do it once. I don't need another bridger.

I know, what I am saying is that if you try to standby after you get host you will lose host because knowone is forcing it to you. The network for Halo 3 migrates host if someone has a really bad connection or is standbying unless someone has their firewall on high and is making the person with host stay host.

Lol, are you serious? It sounds like it is for Halo 3. Everything you explained in your tutorial sounds like it's for Halo 3. Ok, well good job with the tutorial anyway. You should probably edit your original post and put for CoD 4 and 5 at the top because I had no idea.

I will make a video when I have time, probably this weekend, but the servers are messed up right now, its taking everyone of my friends and others forever to find any match and it is always laggy.

Yeah I got 100% of the time. Although the next day I could not get host, so I think I got host banned for a while.

For standbying I prefer cod4 because you find the lobbys so much faster and get host easier.

Video is in the Making, Thanks Pavarotti tF for the help.

-Video is up for download

From my perspection, it is pretty much the same but I lag switch with my zone alarm, and when I standby, I use auto standby.
Basically lag switching for me is manually and standbying is using the macro.
