The trick when camping in a spot like that is to not move too much.
Whenever I kill someone in a hard-to-get spot or glitch, it's usually becasue I saw them moving. The one's who don't move much and take the shots they get tend to kill me first.

I've gone up there loads, didnt know about the last jump though thanks for that. Its a great spot as you can pick off loads of people coming down the left of the map in a 'heavy traffic' area, just watch out for sneaky people coming down the right and shooting you from below!
