How to do the COD4 SPG after the NXE

lol i did this but i did it backwards, i was in the account that needed the achievements then i did what you said and signed in with my account that had it already etc now the both don't have them haha. Wow i laugh at myself sometimes.

Ok, I am getting REALLY frustrated.... I have done exactly as in the video on the first post, I have done exactly as AmyGrrl posted, and I have done exactly as MakoEyeZz posted. None of these are working for me! Can someone please post a new, up to date guide on how to do this correctly? The only things not done that these three people have said is get to 14 or 29 Intel. I would have done it but don't have that much time right now and I'll probably do it soon.

But my main questions:
•Do both accounts have to be XBox Live? Can the Destination profile be local?
•Every time it doesn't work, do I need to go back into my HDD and reerase and reformat?

It never worked for me until I obtained 14 intel. Read my posts on page 10. Be sure to disconnect your Xbox from an internet connection, then reformat to erase your updates. DO NOT delete your game saves. I deleted the game save for the account that needed the intel and it seems that was the problem. I played Mile High Club on Veteran to establish a game save and then it worked.

So to answer your questions...

• No, you shouldnt even be trying this while connected to XBL. Your dummy profile would ideally not have ever signed up for xbox live. You should create a new blank profile and play through until you get 14 intel. Once you get to #15 back out to the main menu (don't pick up #15! yet) and perform the glitch procedure.
• You shouldn't have to reformat as long as you aren't signed into live, because it will not ask you to update if you aren't online.

Wow all you have to do is drag and drop the file he gave you onto the hdd, then put the hdd back on the 360 then turn it on and sign in on the new profile (se7ensins spg or something like that) put cod4 in and load the first mission on veteran then sign out imedietly and sign in on your profile that you want to spg and then go to campaign and it should say that there all completed on veteran then go to the first mission and select "recruit" and play.

The method explained above doesn't require any file to be loaded onto the HDD. It's done exactly as explained. I have no doubts that the file upload method works but I didn't wanna bother with downloading anything and I didn't mind playing through and finding the intel again. It's a fun game.

Ok, I'll do that. But before I clear my main account I am trying to put my vet levels on another local account. Any requirements like the 14 Intel? Cause that isn't working for me either...

Not that I know of, no. I just played a few levels (up to Blackout) on my new account before I transferred my vet levels. Worked fine. It seems that if you don't have a game save for the new account, there's no way to transfer the vet level data because there's nothing to transfer too. I could be wrong, but that's the only way I could get it to work. I deleted the saves before and had a hell of a time with it until I finally played a few levels.

OK! I have got it to work! Just to clarify for anyone that was having trouble like I did or will, I am going to add some details to the guide:
This is what worked for me on 4/21/09
(1) Disconnect Ethernet Cable or Wireless Router
(2) Reformat HDD (To do this go to Memory>Harddrive/HDD then press Y X X LB RB X X and then yes)
NOTE: Step 2 removes all updates for all your games. However this is necessary. When you start CoD4 after doing this, it will ask to Update (even if not connected to the internet) SAY NO
(3-1) If you want to save any thing related to campaign such as that it says you beat a level on Veteran, make a new LOCAL profile. Just play campaign on this account until you have beaten the level "Blackout"
(3-2) If you want to just get fresh intel or have already done (3-1), make ANOTHER LOCAL profile and retrieve 14 intel if you need both achievements (29 if you already have the 30 intel one)
(4) Now while signed into the account you want to be coppied, whether the Veteran levels or 14 Intel. From the Main Main go to Mission Select, Prologue, Crew Expendable, then Highlight Veteran but don't press A yet. (Now the next step I learned needs to be done very quickly.)
(5) Very quickly press A, then press the Guide Button and then press X to Sign Out. Then quickly hightlight Yes to Sign Out.
(6) Then Quickly go down to Sign In, press A and then highlight your Profile that needs to get the Intel or Veteran levels and press A to Sign In.
(7) As soon as the Profile is signed in pull out the Battary, Don't wait to cancel any error messages, just pull out the Battary. If done correctly and fast enough it should show Saving at the top of the screen just after, if your still having problems try and do the whole process faster before Saving appears at the top of the screen.
(8) After just wait for the level to finish loading and put the Battary back in, turn on the controller, cancel any error messages and get back to the Main Menu.
(9) You should notice that the SPG glitch worked and your now able to get your missing achievement. After you get all the achievements you can do the SPG Glitch again to get all your Vet lvls back.

That's odd how you get asked to update even when not signed in to live, it never did with me. Welcome to the 1000 club. Although I glitched to collect the intel I did still get everything legit. Feels good

alright , so when i first tried this it was for the intel because i f'd one up using a cheat. soo i did as the tut said and it worked (finally, if you cant get it to work trust me, it will work! lol) (btw thank you so much i thought i was out the 20 lol) either way , the bad thing is, before i did it i only had three or four missions left for veteran(all legite) and now they are all gone i played through alot of it on recruit just for the intel so i figure i can do the save file that is posted on here this may sound pathetic but I have the free transfer cable but when i plug it into my laptop i'm not sure exactly how to open up the hdd to see whats on it/drag and drop the file anyone please help thanks so much

I know this thread is kinda old but does anyone happen to have an account with all the veteran achievements done? I know somebody has too.. I can give you a dummy or you just give me a dummy with the veterans on it already. PM me If you have one.

I don't need the Intel because I already have all 30 btw.

It is an old thread, but still pretty active. Obviously you did not read, because as I had stated earlier in this thread, you cant recover the account and do it.

I really don't understand why you all claim this, I was able to do this with a friends account.

Example: Dave "Local/Primary" Copies Data to Carl "Dummy", (Dave has actually beaten the Game on Hardened, Carl hasn't played the game at all) Chris then Copies his Data to Carl, (Chris "xbl friend" has beaten the game on Veteran, Carl previously had Dave's Data)
Carl now has Chris's Data in which he can duplicate it to his local buddy Dave.

D>Ca=D
Ch>Ca=Ch
Ca>D=Ch
Now they all have Chris's Data.
