Nominated 9 Times in 3 Posts TOTM Award(s): 0 ![]() | Here is a guide i have made for you people, helping you on every map, this only my opinion but should help you. Sorry that they are not in order, just press "CTRL" & "F" and search for a map Hit Me Up In Game On Xbox 360, GT is Im Too Lethal. If my friends list is full just send me a message and ill invite you Crash
Jake007g's take: I usually use the M4 or AK on this map. I somtimes use the sniper (M40A3 With Acog, and steady aim). Anyways a good perk to use on this map is the 3x frag perk. I say this because grenades are very useful for getting guys who camp on the roof tops. Especially the tower building. You can throw a grenade from the ground onto the roof of this building. I do it all the time. Gdogg pretty much summed up all the action areas but here is my tips on throwing grenades at the beginning. And no these are not random grenades that I throw. I throw them in the direction I believe the enemy to be so therefore they are not random. Also cook your grenades before throwing if you can. Marine Spawn: Right from the start just run straight ahead and throw your grenades towards the blue building when you get past the wooden fence. Often times the other team is moving through this area to get towards the three story building. Everybody loves that building. The 3x perk works great here. Just fan them out and a kill or multiple kills are almost guaranteed. Spetsnaz Spawn: From the start run straight ahead and down the hill to the left. Throw your grenades to the left of the shop. Often times members from the other team will bypass going through the Tower building and will come this way instead. Another one at the beginning is to go down the steps to left through the blue house and out the door by the heli. Throw your grenades over the wall to the left to get the other team who will be moving through that area to the Tower building. This one is hard because often times there is a member who went the other route and will be to your right. Very easy to get killed doing this one. The only other thing I will say about this map is when you are trapped in the marine spawn or the spetsnaz spawn, don't try and rush the enemy often times they have the advantage and you will get killed continuously and very frustrated. Just take the long way around. Which often is the best thing you can do in this game. ![]() Vacant
Jake007g’s Take: I only like to use SMG's on this map. The MP5 and P90 with RDS and unsilenced are my guns of choice. The action is usually non stop on this map and I feel the silencer only hurts you more than it helps because it cuts down on range. And range is needed when the guys are camping the windows at the end of the halls or you are moving through the hangar area. Shotgun can be used but it's hard to get multiple kills with it and this is a map that often times has you running into two or more people at a time. LMG can work because of it's magazine capacity but it's not the easiest to shoot from the hip. That's another thing, I always use steady aim in the last perk slot on this map. Because 90% of the time you are turning corners and shooting from the hip without looking down the sites. Grenade Tossing on Vacant: If you spawn as SAS on this map run straight ahead up the steps and right before you enter the door straight ahead of you start cooking your grenade. Move through the little courtyard and throw the grenade when you get close to the door on the other side. You are going to throw it through that door and the other door behind it and slightly to the right. It takes some practice to get down but once you do the kills come easy. My personal best is four with one grenade. If you spawn as Spetsnaz, the first thing to do is move out through the hangar to the right. Not the other way because of the grenade threat. Anyways what I'll do is move through the hangar and when I get a little more than half way I throw a flash through the opening between the roof and the wall in front of me. Not through the door. I throw it slightly to the left and follow up with a frag grenade. This toss has a fifty fifty chance of getting someone. Since most people go straight ahead at the start of the match. Something else that comes in handy on this map is C4. You'd be amazed at how far you can throw it and the places to put it. Two of my favorite places to place it are the big door at the hangar and the bathroom area. You can throw it through the opening between the roof and the wall. The same opening I throw grenades through. This allows you to get guys who are hiding on the other side. Then when I'm in the Office Block I will throw it through the bars towards the door that leads into the bathroom. Also if you are brave enough, when the enemy gets jammed in an area straff in and throw some C4 towards them then straff out and detonate. ![]() Ambush
This map is pretty much symmetrical. There are 3 ways to each side with the main Street separating the sides. Snipers like those corner room 2nd floors with claymores covering their backsides. Dont underestimate the 2 tunnels in the middle to help get to one side or the other. Skirmishes seem to happen along the narrow alleys concerning the 2nd floor rooms. Their also abundant along the roofs as well. Guys tend when they get on the main street to hang out along the edges especially where the alleyways meet the main street so caution going out to the street. Jake007g’s take: Sorry I have nothing to offer on this map other than the great grenade toss at the beginning of the game. I don't know what it is about this map but I can't be consistent on it. I'm still working on some strategies myself. I will say I mostly use the AK on this map because it packs more punch and seems to take less bullets to drop people than the M4. Which is important on this map since there is a high part in the middle and a bunch of places to take cover quickly. I do know having gdogg on your team helps with this map. ![]() BLOC
Flag Building has 3 ways to go up to the 2nd Floor. North End has a sloped hill going straight up inside the North end on the 2nd floor. South End has dark hallway that leads to middle stairs or you can go to the south end of the 2nd floor with the doorway on the right going up. As a sniper I like to hide in that dark hallway since most guys like to overlook it. If your playing as a sniper use those claymores once you get them to cover those doorways and hide in dark areas. I don't recommend crouching outside next to walls or large cinder blocks or crossing out in the courtyard. I will see you and love you for it for giving me the chance of building up my K/D ratio. The trees can sometimes give you cover from the opposite sides of the building but I definitely recommend moving at all the times throughout so you don't get sniped. Check those Kill cams if you do so you can point them out to others. Jake007g's take: My favorite gun to use on this map is the G36C. The only problem is you don't get it until later in the ranks. The MP5, AK and M4 are good for this map. LMG works well to because you can lay down in the upstairs of the buildings and pick people off as they move through. If you aren't sniping on this map then I suggest having a smoke grenade equipped. If I spawn in the north I always move through the building on the right. I throw smoke as I run up to the broken wall so i won't get sniped when I move out around it to enter the building. You want to move fast though because you don't want the opposing team to get to the hole in the floor before you pass through. If this happens you can flash bang the person through the window upstairs and easily kill them from below. Or if you threw your smoke far enough you can enter from the front and go right up the steps. If it's the other spawn I move through the building to left. Same building as above. First I throw smoke towards the other building to provide cover for my teammates, since I don't need it where I'm going. Instead of rushing to the hole in the floor at the other end when I get upstairs. I lay down and wait for them to come through the door by the steps. The only way they can get you is through that door or coming up behind you. Plus if you are far enough back from the door you usually don't have to worry about grenades. ![]() Downpour
Another danger zone is first walking up the house ramp to the door of the house. Guys will either mount the Russian turret and just lay fire on that house since it can go through walls and the area between the house and tractor shed. Not only that, but you'll have to contend with guys in the backyard area shooting the windows if you manage to make it inside the house. Trends that I see on here is that teams that control the higher portion of the map (Russian spawn, Tractor Shed, House, Silos) tend to spawn camp the lower end. Id say its vital to control that upper area especially the turret. Helicopter barrages occur often and a fast way to take them down is to get on turret and go at it with it. The British Spawn or lower end isn't terrible either if you have dedicated turret guy and some accurate gunners. Smoke is an option I would consider as well to help move through the bottleneck. ![]() Pipeline
Sniper positions include the roof of building #1, grass knoll, turret house, pipeline hill and the back of the train tracks. Building #1 being the most trendy spot, you can usually shoot them from the inside of the building if they are inside on the catwalk. Snipers will sometimes lay down outside on the roof as well so take note. Not much I can give in advice. Learning the hiding spots of both buildings from others is essential since guys that ive seen like to hide in the shadows crouching and camping waiting for their victim. Knowing where you can get in and out of the buildings is also encouraged for flanking purposes. ![]() Bog
![]() Crossfire
Deep impact works best IMO on this map with the various doorways and walls used for cover for assault gunners. I didnt put SMGs cause I feel you need the range and power of an assault rifle in this map for crossfire sections but if your skilled in those weapons, go ahead and use them. They have great mobility for going in and out of buildings. Crossfire(hence the map name) sections include the hotel, coffee shop, bakery and corner shop. Cooked grenades work for flushing out the snipers in the 2nd floors. Definitely work on timing and throwing accuracy of your grenades. ![]() Backlot
The roof house has access to a ladder outside from a window which looks across the turret house zone to get on the roof. Its a tough jump but still accessible. Once on the roof you have free reign over most of the entire map including the industrial zone and dead end area. You are a open target from all sides so use your prone abilities and the small A/C duct for cover. If a grenade kills you up there, then kudos for the guy that threw it. Note that you dont have to go inside the building to get to the 2nd floor of the roof house. You can climb the dumpster from the center area and then the window shade and climb into the window that looks across the industrial zone. I don't like sniping on this map cause I feel there are too many risks from cooked grenades and various ways you can sneak to get into places. Saddams house would be the ideal sniper area I would go to. Plant claymores on both side doors and pick a shooting gallery to snipe ![]() Strike
Don't get trapped inside Little Berlin or the apartment block. Too many times I've seen guys trapped in that area and its very hard to get out. I don't usually carry smoke so I would have to rely on someone else that does. Watch out for guys camping the dumpster outside the mall near the flower shop. Dead End has a small cafe leading into courtyard square and alley. Best use of surrounding walls that ive taken advantage of has been climbing on the palm tree plant areas to look over those walls and picking people off wherever they run especially in the courtyard and little Berlin areas. ![]() District
There are many barrels and cars that blow up so be careful crossing if you see barrels burning or cars burning cause they will blow up and kill you. I find airstrikes tough in this map with all the buildings blocking the carpet bombs coming down so calling pinpoint airstrikes are key. I usually tend to have success on calling them on both the streets as long as the fighters fly parallel to the street or on top of the marketsquare. If airstrikes are tough for you, Id advise skipping it all together and go straight for the chopper. If snipers are in the area, they tend to camp baker street on the oxfor street end near where the guys knife is at on the map. They also love inside the cafe on cafe square overlooking the gas station area. ![]() Showdown
I feel controlling upstairs is critical. Its allot harder to get grenade kills from below and guys will definitely be open targets running around the bottom. Don't get caught in the courtyard. Stay close to walls and cover as much as possible. Extreme Conditioning is a great perk to exploit here. Juggernaut is another option. ![]() Wet Work
Snipers love the mast decks but I feel they're easy prey. NVG goggles work well if you find it hard to see. There's allot of dark hiding spots so check dark spots. Unless its anything Team Hardcore, don't be afraid to shoot anything that moves. SMGs and Shotguns are my choice of weapons ![]() Countdown
Guys tend to lay prone along the corner silos b/c of the ample cover. I myself like to get a birds eye view from the silo lids and call out where the opposing force is heading. The vents offer great sniper coverage and most guys like going that way to flank opponents. If your a skilled sniper, I commend you cause I cant seem to find any open areas and don't like the views and mobility being on top of the gas trucks. Skirmishes involve the wrecked chopper, comm site, crate alley and warehouse side of the map. Silos and barricades offer a hide-and-seek area so if your skilled in sneaking, this would be great for you. Don't end up camping in the hangars on either side. Teams are too good to let you out and will just spawn camp you if you stay inside hangars. ![]() Shipment
If your willing to sacrifice mobility and slow reload times an LMG works as well. 100 rounds from an LMG will tear through people with Stopping Power. I wouldn't recommend Sleight of Hand here cause I don't think it would be practical since you will die before having any chance of reloading and sacrificing stopping power, juggernaut, double tap or sonic boom for sleight of hand for this map just doesn't seem worth it Last edited by Im Too Lethal; 08-09-2008 at 07:26 AM.

I just got back into COD 4 after X months (longer than 3) and I feel like I've forgotten all of my tactics. This is astounding.
