| Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 You lag your own lobby others will join your host, waitch in the top right corner when others join, if it says selecting host and their name is above yours in the lobby, then you lose host to them. You need to have a good connection to get host this isn't a 100% get it everytime thing. |

| Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 I have Webroot also, and Otaku's way is an option, but there is another way to get host, turn your firewall on before you select a match, once it starts searching and puts in a lobby by yourself, put down the firewall and the people will start joining. But one thing is for sure, if other people have much better connection than you, you won't be host. But me as an example, I don't have great connection, I tired this method, and out 5 games, I was able to get host 3 times. But don't leave if you are dropped down to second, it's still a possibility that you might be host. |

| Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 It should leave you waiting for at least 8 seconds. But I think I know why your not finding matches, sometimes the Xbox Live IP changes so you have to keep checking it periodically, this also happened to me and I can 98% guarantee that that's the problem. | Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 There can be many, but it always starts with 198.168.1. .. After the number one, there is usually one number or two. To check the IP, go to System Settings, then Test Xbox Live Connection, and then Configure Network. It will be the first IP at the top, with the numbers that I told you. |

| Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 ye k i got that. u know any auto-standby things that work with webroot? how do you use your webroot? do you just click it? |

| Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 The auto-standby that they use with Halo does not work with Webroot. I've tried it. Although, I am not sure if there are other ones. But yeah, all I have do is click the yellow button for the firewall to activate. Last edited by HangtimePro; 03-13-2009 at 08:26 PM. |

| Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 Well I haven't gone on Gears for a while, so if it hasnt changed its: 66.74.73.102. And also Xbox Live's IP, which I already told you about. You know you could always try and go in by yourself on wingman. That's why I'm telling you to read up on the forums. |

| Member | Re: How to Bridge + Standby in CoD4 Haha true I tried doing that, and the farthest I got was, I was able to find a player because luck of the draw from putting an IP to my trusted, and that was it. We never found a match and he ended up leaving so I had to restart the process. |
