Router Bridging with Vista Cain & Able v4

This tutorial demonstrates how to Router Bridge with Vista and Cain & Able v4. By Se7eN MasTa (ME)

For this you will need the following:

• Cain & Able v4. oxid.it download center
• Zonealarm Firewall (I'm not using this)
• Router (Of Course!)
• Xbox or Xbox 360

1. You need to download Cain & Able v4. You can download on the link at the top or you can go to oxid.it - Cain & Abel and follow the instructions on this pic:


2. Once downloaded you need to install the program. Also you need to turn your Anti-Virus protection off because cain normally gets picked up as a virus. This is a legitmate program. Make sure you also install WinCap, it is a vital program for cain to work.

3. Now you need Cain to run as administrator so right-click the Cain program then go to Properties. After that go to compatability then run this program as administrator. This will make it so you don't have to keep clicking run as administrator.


4. Run Cain and it should ask for administrator priviliges. Click allow. Once loaded go to Sniffer then Start/Stop Sniffer.


5. Now you should have a box show up. Click the one that is your enthernet card or wireless then click Don't use Promicious mode. Once done click apply then ok.


6. After that click add to list

and then click ok.


7. After thats been done go to APR

Then click the first box and after click the plus sign again. Click the one that is your Gateway IP (aka. Routers IP) then your xbox's IP should show on another box, click that. After you have done that click ok.


8. After that click Start/Stop APR.

9. There you have it!!

i dont get it i did this and nothing happened all it did was just give me IP's help me please.

Thats how you know your bridge is working. Btw you can avoid all the problems with cain if you turn off UAC

alright, so it's good for password recovery, but can it unlock any password on a computer? and better question, can it unlock passwords on other computers, servers, or websites? strictly for legal or hypothetical purposes, of course...

I am sure it will if you know how to work the program. I am not being rational here at all and i am sorry if it comes across mean. But with Cain being a password recovery tool. that is what it is made for and i am sure that you can access other passwords on other computers, servers, and i dont know about websites? But i know you can on other computers cause i have done it! Again hope i am not being cross here!

unless you have host thats IP flooding which is highly illegal or if u have host just use cain to find there IP's and use zone alarm...
