| Bridging with Windows Vista-By T Sizzles ***Bridging with Windows Vista*** By T Sizzles @ Se7enSins.com Finally! A way to bridge on Windows Vista! This tutorial only applies to users using the 32-bit (x86) versions of Vista, which you most likely are using. The ZoneAlarm 7 Vista beta does not work with the 64-bit (x64) versions of Vista. YOU WILL NEED: PC running 32-bit version of Windows Vista 2 Network Cards or 1 Network Card and 1 USB and/or Wireless Card 1 Crossover cable if using Xbox 1 Ethernet cable if using Xbox 360 ZoneAlarm 7 Vista beta: http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/fre...3_067_beta.exe CommView 5.5: http://tamos.com/bitrix/redirect.php.../files/cv5.zip Section 1: Setting up a bridge or ICS Part 1: Network Bridge Step 1: Open up your Network and Sharing Center, click on the link to "Manage Network Connections" on the left side. ![]() Step 2: Make sure ICS is disabled on your connections. Right click your connections, select properties, go to the sharing tab, and make sure both boxes for ICS are unchecked. ![]() ![]() Step 3: Go back to your connections, hold the CTRL button and click on the 2 connections you want to bridge. ![]() Step 4: Now your connections should be bridged. You can skip the next part of the tutorial and go to the setting up ZoneAlarm and CommView section. Part 2: Setting up ICS Step 1: Step 1: Open up your Network and Sharing Center, click on the link to "Manage Network Connections" on the left side. ![]() Step 2: You need to enable ICS. Right click on your INTERNET connection and click properties. ![]() Step 3: Click on the sharing tab, and make sure both boxes for ICS are checked. ![]() That's it! You're done setting up ICS! Section 2: Setting up ZoneAlarm and CommView Part 1: Setting up ZoneAlarm Step 1: Assuming you have already installed ZoneAlarm, you need to add a few IPs to the firewall. Go to the "Zones" tab. You need to add these 3 IPs to bridge. 65.59.234.6, 65.59.234.161, 207.46.246.6 . Make sure they go in the trusted zone, and put your network connections in the Internet zone. Your "Zones" section should look like this: ![]() Part 2: Setting up CommView Step 1: Assuming you have installed CommView, I am going to tell you how to use it. You need to open it up, and go to the dropdown menu, and select the network adapter that is your internet connection if you are using ICS. If you have a Network bridge set up, you need to select "MAC Bridge Miniport" as your adapter. ![]() Step 2: To find IPs, simply press the "Play" button and the IPs will begin to come up. ![]() That's It! You're done! If this is the case then you would only have 1 connection in the list. If you are using a router you have to use a program like cain & abel to poison the packets of your connection, then your pc (using zone alarm) can manipulate the way the traffic acts. | ||||||
