| Standbying your self host with or without a guest (Final Release) By AnDo 1. First thing you need to do is make sure your connections are bridged. (For all the help on setting up you bridge please visit - Bridging Tutorials Master Index by Krafty) Click hear. 2. You need to make sure that you made the party. If you want to standby your self host with a guest all you need to do is add your guests I.P and follow the rest of the tut. (For help on getting your guests I.P please visit the tut “Using Commview” By Unsanitary) Click hear 3. Ok now put your internet zone security firewall tab on high and start it up (NOTE- You cannot standby yourself host in double team and if you get matched up against 4 or less people in a game type) 4. When you get host boxes put your internet zone security firewall tab on medium. Like so…….. 5. Now site back and wait for 5+ matched players when it goes on to stage 3 you have to wait for the yellow matched player boxes to go away. When it does go away you will just be able to see yourself / your guest when this happens you need to press the big red stop button at the top of zone alarm pro as fast as you can. This will turn off your internet access immediately. The picture will help (NOTE- Don’t try this if there is 4 or less matched players you won’t get host) ![]() 6. It might take a few seconds longer to go on to stage 4 than normal so don’t panic. And finally when stage 4 finally comes press the big red button again to turn the internet access on again. (NOTE- You have to do this as fast as possible when it hits 4) ![]() 7. If you do all this correctly you will give yourself host. Then the rest is up to you Legit Standby Lag people out Some extra notes put together by Premium *NOTES* - If for some reason you don't do it right, you will either lag out or not get host. - If the other team has a bridger...don't let that get you down, because you can steal host from whoever he is bridging, that is if you do this right. - If for any reason you lag out trying to do this check your IP and see if it had changed, because that is what mine always does. - If it is your first time doing this and you don't do it right your first couple times...don't cry, just keep trying. - I would suggest this for first timers you play by yourself like in rumble pit and try to get this down. - Also if you are a legit person...you will not get reported or anything like that for doing this just to get host and then playing legit. - All of you can do what I like to do with my friends...standby for host and then play legit until we start losing bad and then team standby...if you are playing nubs then they won't leave cheating feedback...they will just think that there was lag towards the end of the game. Hope these notes helped!!! Have fun Standbying for host!!! *NOTES* Thanks for reading and hope this helped Tutorial: AnDo Gamertag: II AnDo II Resources: Krafty’s Bridging Tutorials Master Index And Premium’s notes | ||||||

| How can you take host away from a bridger? Isn't it when you bridge someone host, you get box host anyway? So if they were bridging, theyd have their own box hosted game while you had yours. I dunno... thats what happens to me... Last edited by DJ Shepherd; 02-07-2007 at 11:09 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost | ||||||
