Bridging With Zone Alarm 7 Beta

A new Zone Alarm? L33T dude! What's different about it?!

Absolutely nothing! (Except for a new look and logo)



Well, do I have to have my bridge set up a certain way?

No, it can be ICS or router, doesn't matter



What if I have a previous Zone Alarm? Is there any major changes to bridging with this one?

No, everything is still the same



Well then, aside from asking yourself questions, why are you making this tutorial?

For the people who may have questions about it, even though I already stated that there is no big changes.



Well-

No. Lets get started.



Alright, first here's the download:

Step 1:

Alright, Now that you have it, open it up (har har)



Sexy, isnt it?



Step 2:

Now, first make sure your trusted and firewall are at least at medium, low preferably. Now, go to your "Zone" tab





Step 3:

You may see your loopback adapter again. Select it, and go down and remove it.





Step 4:

Now that that's removed, your LAN ("New connection") may already be on internet, if not, click where it says "Trusted" and a drop down box should appear. Go to "Internet" and select that, now your screen should look like this:




Step 5:

Now its time to add Bungies IP first, go to the bottom where you see "Add >>" and click on it



Go to "IP Address" and select that, a small pop up window should appear



Step 6:





(Bungie's IP - 65.59.234.161)

Bungie's IP will be the only IP you need to always keep in Zone Alarm. There is no Xbox Live IP, or any other Bungie IP

Step 7:
Now, do the same for your friends IP. If he does not know it, ask him to go here -
IP Chicken - What is my IP? Find Your IP Address!

Or get it from Cain, Switchsniffer, or Commview



Step 8:
Now, Press OK, and your screen should look somewhat like this


Now, Down in the bottom-right hand corner, click Apply, or just tell it to save the changes.



Step 9:
Now, click on the "Main" tab



Step 10:
Now, Switch you Internet Security Zone to High and leave your trusted on either Medium or Off



Now your friend should be bridged. Ask if you can hear him just to make sure. And there you go. Your done. To turn the bridge off just lower your firewall.

Booting
Note: In order to do this, You must have HOST
Go as your were entering an IP, but instead put it under blocked



Now, Get the IP of the offending opponent. How to get the IP of them is entirely up to you but eventually if you in fact DO get it, put it on in




Now Click OK



Now, make sure you go down and click apply.

Go back to the "Main" tab.
First try turning your firewall to high, and seeing if he starts to lag out. If not, turn your security up a little and that should work.

And there you have it.
