After having all of the programs and hardware installed, you need to setup the bridge. This is how it goes- From the original ethernet port in your computer, you connect the ethernet cord to your router (this is basically giving your computer internet) Then, from the second (installed) ethernet port, you connect the crossover cable from to the xbox. This is how it should Look-( Computer-router: via ethernet... and Computer-xbox:via crossover) Bridging the Connections For this, there is usually some confusion. People ask me, do i need windows XP to bridge. I have found that you do in fact need windows xp. So, assuming you do, follow these instructions.- go to Start - Control Panel - Network Connections. here there should be two connections-
Zone Alarm Pro after all of the above is completed, open ZAP (Zone alarm Pro) and go to the Firewall tab, then click zones. Find the "new network" and if not already, right click it and select internet. Then Click apply at the bottom. After it is on internet, at the bottom click Add- Ip Address. Type in bungies Ip (65.59.234.161) and make sure it is on trusted. Label it as bungie and then click apply. *make sure that you have ur firewall on Low or Med all the time or u will not be able to join anyones room or sign onto xbox live* Bridging someone Host With your firewall on low, join your friends room and get their ip. Either ask them to go to Ipchicken.com or you can get it through Commview which i will discuss at another time. Once you get their ip, add it as trusted in ZAP and then put your firewall on high. Your friend should get host every time. This was a quick 20 min write up, and i did not go into great detail so if anyone has any questions about bridging or anyhting at all i have been doing it a long time and have experienced almost everything. U can PM me or talk to me on AIM- NYyank3es1227 -----i will discuss other things such as booting people or team standbying later Feel free to point out mistakes or make suggestions about Tut. thanks | ||||||
