yea when you did the Mac Scan I got nothing and I only have 2 devices in my Configure box. I used to Bridge in the Halo 2 days but now I'm on a wireless desktop and it doesn't look like it will work... =[

can u still standby host and how would you do this way in a custom game when do u put the firewall on high to get your friend host and not the party leader

Okay I have a question here.

I know this thread is old but listen. I have perfectly bridged my connections. It works and I.P addresses show up when my network bridge has been poisoned. Yet, I DONT get host during a game which really pisses me off. I'm not sure why this isn't working but... would it be because I'm using wireless internet on my computer, and I have a network cable from my Xbox 360 to the computer where the ethernet plug is?

I play xbox 360 like this, and I haven't had any problems with connections before. Yet, personally, I don't think that this should be the problem. I don't know what is going on, nor do I understand why it's not working. Could anyone help out? (Possibly Unfoundlegend)...

This still dose work it is just Very rare that you acctually get it to work properly , ive been doing it for the past 18 hours on Halo 3 and COD4
cod 4 seems to work the best but halo 3 is the problem

Because you need to be host. There are many different ways to get host and once you do then it works all the time.

How do u know which one is Bungie's IP address?

Bungie has a multitude of IP addresses so you add them as an IP range you can get all of their IP's. The IP range was somewhere but I can't find it at the moment, I am sure if you search you can find it.

No, if your IP address is in their it is like standbying so you don't get affected. It is the xbox IP address, they can find this by going in their dashboard, under system tabs, under network and finding it.

Standby is simply a button on your modem you press to have the appearance of making your connection almost nothing yet still remain connected to xbox live. Bridging allows a diversity of things such as getting host, ip addresses, and to standby for a long term.

I personally do not know a way in Halo because I do not bridge in halo and such, I have once or twice but never got into it because I don't like Halo. I bridge mostly in COD4. However I am sure somebody does know so ask around.

But on ur tutorial u said to put in bungies ip and such so u must have an experience with it right? and can i do this in team doubles or does it only work in team slayer. thnx

Don't believe I ever made a tutorial? You can do it in any game type as long as you are host. I would look for other tutorials on this matter as I have small experience in this, ie knowing the general knowledge of bridging for games. I however do not know the specifics of Halo 3 and it's bridging. As I stated I mainly bridge in COD4.
