This is very basic, yet essential - and can be done through any firewall on any bridged computer. by saying 'bridged' i mean that the comp is used to connect an xbox to xbl. in order to be able to do this there are some prerequisites: 1. u need to be playing on xbl (wow now that's a gimme, just trying to stay basic here) 2. ur connection needs to be bridged (like i mentioned above) 3. u need to have host now having met all that u can boot ppl out by adding their ip as 'blocked' to whatever firewall u are using. to get a person's ip u can find it by using an ip detecting program such as commview or ethereal and looking at active ip's (ppl who are currently in the game) sometimes (like if ur booting a party leader) no one will lag out when u click apply (give it like 10 secs). to deal with that u can simply turn ur firewall security to max for 3-4 secs. zap (zone alarm pro) is the most common firewall used in bridging so i'll use that as an example. just follow the pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ^_^ very basic! for review: 1. add ip as blocked 2. click apply final note: all ur firewall sees is an ip u wanna block here. it will help to know ur friend's ip's so u don't go about booting them from the game. to get ur friend's ips have them --go to whatismyip.com and tell u ----or look it up b4 the game on ur ip detecting prog. ------or after u click apply to boot someone u can push the back button on ur controller and see who is lagging out it take ------around 10 secs to completely lag someone out so u can try and stop that by removing their ip or turing ur firewall ------down or putting their ip as 'trusted' Founded by ADV1L Last edited by ADV1L; 08-14-2006 at 12:27 PM.
