What is PIPA ...
PIPA is a program that runs in the Windows System Tray (WST) that will resolve your Public IP Address and display it.
Why not use my browser to determine my IP Address ...
You can if you want, but with PIPA, you place your mouse cursor over the icon in the Windows System Tray (WST) and PIPA will display your Public IP Address without doing anything else.
PIPA Installation:
Double click on the setup.exe and follow the instructions.
That’s it, you’re done with installation.
PIPA Uninstall:
Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and select PIPA - Public IP Address.
Using PIPA ...
Click on the PIPA icon in the location as to where your installed it.
Usually ... Start Button/All Programs/PIPA - Public IP Address/PIPA
Main Screen of PIPA:
There is no "main screen" for PIPA, look in the Windows System Tray (WST).
View Your Public IP Address:
Hold your mouse over the PIPA icon in the WST and it will display your Public IP Address.
PIPA Options:
Right click on the PIPA icon in the WST to display the Options Menu.
From the Options Menu you can:
1) View your Public IP Address.
2) Tell PIPA to Retrieve your Public IP Address.
Once an hour, PIPA poll your Server Selection to resolve your Public IP Address. If you think your IP has changed and/or you do not want to wait an hour to see what your Public IP Address is, select this option.
3) Select a Server to poll for your Public IP Address.
PIPA has five (5) Servers to pick from. If one server is down, select another one to retrieve your Public IP Address.
The remaining options are self explanatory.
