Update ... ION v1.6

ION has been updated to function with winpcap v4.x
ION (v1.6) will now funtion with both versions of winpcap v3.x and v4.x

Azzid, when your schedule permits, will you update the rapidshare link?
I have updated the zip file on the mirror link.

Krafty, when your schedule permits, will you verify that ION now functions for you?

Take care,
jok3rm0n

Hey little brother, how ya been, fine I trust.

Yea, I know … health issues again. Man, getting old sucks as far as the body goes but the wisdom and cash is great. However, I can say from 1st hand experience, if you don’t have your health, ya aint got sh1t …

Thanks for the update on the rapidshare link.

Hey, a little different subject …

PLIP does not look promising …

It is truly a crap shoot at to who is who without decoding the packets. Decoding isn’t going to happen unless I or someone can crack MS hash on the packet encryption. Without this (I’m sure others have realized this in the past), there is no real/reliable way to tell who is on what team. If I release PLIP, it’s going to mislead one at least 50% of the time. I do not know if it worth releasing. Let me know your thoughts.

Again, nice chatting with ya !!!
I’ll try not to stay away so long …

Take care,
Jok3rm0n

I would think that PLIP would be up to the community. 50% of knowing is better than 0% IMO but you have to know whether the community will use the app or not.

Sorry to hear about your health, hope it gets better soon.

We'll have to chat again sometime soon over AIM. We haven't done that in (it feels like) a year! O_O

Nice talkin',

Ok, there may (hell there is) a problem with wireless adapters. I need to add an additional setting.

The reason I did not (also, I don’t use wireless) is because once the "bridge" is created, it should show up in the device list. This is what I monitor (the bridge) and figure all others would as well.

Sorry for the hassle. I don’t use wireless, this is the configuration of my gaming rig:

Click the image to open in full size.

I have all this in a roll around cart with a 42” LCD HDTV on top of the cart. I use picture in picture as the monitor for the pc. Yea, I know, seems a little over the edge and expensive. However, the cost of this is nothing compared to my “big boy” toys (cars, boats, planes) …

I'll look into setting up wireless and see what enhancements I need to make.

I missed that, damn eyes gettin to old.
I'm coding up something else for winpcap (regardless of the application) to test things. I'll kick it out later today for you to try.

This will help in trouble shooting the issue.

None taken …

Oh sh1t, you caught me … :cry2:

I’ve stolen someone else’s work and passing it off as mine …

I have absolutely no clue as to what I am doing when it comes to programming …

Truth is, you are off the mark, that’s not the issue … ... unless you are refering to ZAP hooks ... if so, like I stated, knock your lights out, do it, I bow to the better programmer ... NOT ...

Nice try though …

No offence, right ... :shades:

well it must be my ethernet card that i had in, because when i used a spare one it picked it up just fine, but now there is a new problem...nothing works! everytime i click a button it says: unhandled exception has occured in your application and blah blah. then at the bottom of that message it says: Value does not fall within the expected range. all this happened when i got it working, then tryed hitting then ZA Block button while ZA was open.

This is a utility that I wrote (though some here question that ... :shades to look at the winpcap install.
Specifically, iterating the adapter interfaces.

Download this utility and unzip the file and place the executable in the ION directory.
Once this is done, double click on the exe and when the program has started, click the Detect button. Once the results are displayed, click the Edit/Copy menu to copy the results to the windows clip board. Then copy the results to your reply here.

From this I should get an idea of what’s going on.

It sounds like when accessing the winpacap api's, it's bailing.
This utility will omit all of the ION code and just focus on the
winpcap api calls for the adapters interface.
From this I should get an idea of what’s going on.

Download this utility and unzip the file and place the executable
