Question Unanswered: Help on trying to standby

I have this Wireless-G PCI Adapter on the back of my PC. My computer is not a laptop, it's a desktop ok. The adapter gets a connection from my wireless router. Can I standby for host or standby or something like that? I have tried doing it and nothing happens when I get host and when I'm a playing game. I don't know what to do. Help plz!!!!!!
