I NEED HELP PLZ!!

Ok i have a comcast modem with one ethernet port of i have a ethernet cable going from my modem to my computer but my computer has 2 ethernet ports so one of them is used by my modem and the other i put a crossover wire from my computer to my xbox 360 and i bridged my connections. ok here is the problem my computer has internet but my 360 will not let me connect, when i test xbox live it says ip failed plz help me if u people can!

How did you bridge your connections? You need to highlight them both and hit bridge connections.

try coldbooting your modem and router unplug both of them for 60 sec then plug your modem in then your router and it should work

He doesn't have a router, he's trying to bridge his one hot connection to his 360

ya i have them bridged and i tryed reseting all my stuff but still it says ip failed.

Did you search the site? I'm not even sure if this is possible since you aren't behind a router.

Try this. After you bridge your connectinos, go to a command prompt. To do this, click start > run. Type "cmd" (no quotes) and press enter. Then type this "netsh bridge show adapter" and it should give you a little table that shows both your nics. I would assume the top one would be your connection to your internet (number 1) If this is right, type this "netsh bridge set adapter 1 enable" Then you can exit out of that, try your internet on your 360 now. I'm not sure if that will work, but it's something to try. Otherwise, sorry I can't help you, I don't bridge that much.
