Router bridging vs. Nic bridging vs. ICS bridging

Post your questions here!; I bridge through ICS and for some reason my setup has stopped working I was wondering if there are any differences/advantages/disadvantages with router/nic/ics bridging. I bridge through ICS and for some reason my setup has stopped working I was wondering if there are any differences/advantages/disadvantages with router/nic/ics bridging. I am thinking of trying to router bridge and how difficult is it compared to ICS bridging ?

Router bridging is very easy to do if you follow the tutorials correctly, just requires one more program to run it, thats all. You could have it set up in probably under 2 minutes.

ICS is fairly different depending on if your PC chooses to cooperate at the time, and you may need a crossover for it to work properly, but you can do it with your router being downstairs and not having to move it, and all you need is Zone Alarm (or a firewall that can do the same)

Ok, could I have it setup like this:

Router --------------> Xbox (Ethernet)

Laptop (Wireless, running Cain and Able + ZAP)

No, you dont use Cain on wireless. Your Xbox & PC have to be connected via ethernet cables to the router for you to use Cain

I guess I'll try and get ICS working again. Thanks for the advice.

there is a way to bridge wirelessly with cain, I have done it in the past, I need to figure it out again and release a tut on this, let me mess with cain for a little while and I will get this out to you
