cant join a party?

 | cant join a party? iv been been having problems joining people's partys in halo2 it says "you aren't able to join this party because we're having network problems. sorry about that" it just happens with my original xbox i can join with no probs on my 360 but thats getting repaired. is there any way to fix this?  | ||||||

 | If you're a bridger, make sure your firewall is off... or restart your router, modem, and xbox | ||||||

 | Well one time, I was trying to play with one of my friends in halo and I had just added him to my friends list and I told him to join my party but he wouldn't. Then I tried joining his and it said "having network problems" or whatever. So I had a feeling it had something to do with my router cause I asked him and he said he was hooked up to a modem not a router. So then I connected my xbox straight to the modem and was able to join (I rapped him by the way). I don't know if it was the unplugging and plugging back in that fixed it or that I connected it straight to the modem, but you should try both. Also check any and all firewall settings on your computer. | ||||||

| iv tryed restarting my router,resetting my modem and turned off my firewall and still cant join  anything else i could try? | ||||||

 | try placing your xbox ip address out side of your routers firewall thats what i had to do my nat went from moderate to open | ||||||

| i can join people when my Zone Alarm is closed all the way out but i remember there is an tut somewhere here on how to fix this | ||||||

| hi everybody i need help with zone alarm when i press the stop bottom i does not do anything.. can anyone help me with this because i wont to team standby but i cant till i fix this problem. if anyone can help u can add my gamertag sulkyv3n0m or reply back on this thanks | ||||||

 | Your router is on Moderate to closed then.. You can go to your xbox 360 dash and go to the last tab on your right and it will say something about checking your xbox live test or something.. do that then it wil tell you if your router is at Open, Moderate, or closed.. <- main way to fix it is to just buy a new router.. | ||||||
