Can't bridge own host...

Unanswered: Can't bridge own host...
I recently got back into halo 2 and I was curious if I could still bridge for host. I opened cain and all, but when it came time to raise the firewall settings to force my own host, I just lagged myself out. Im wondering if its still possible or can I bridge other people host at all? I'm using cain and ZAP. If its still possible I can give details about what im doing but that would be a lot of work if you can't bridge any more. Please help.

When you go to connect, turn down the firewall for two seconds then go back up.

Could you explain in detail what my firewall needs to start on and what level I should turn it down do and then what level I should turn it up to? Im using ZAP. Thanks for being so patient with me.

It should be on high. Then when it configures for the game, down for 2 seconds, then back up.
