RROD fix problems!!??

hey um these are the screws and washers that I bought. Can you tell me if these would work and if they are the correct sizes?? I bought all this stuff from home hardware. The machine screws that I bought were actually philppes head but the same size and everything. This is the hardware I am using to try and fix my 360 from overheating.

It sounds like they are the correct ones. You need 5mm washers, and the M5X10 should be the correct screws. The exact specs are 24 5mm washers and M5 .8x10mm machine screws.

Just thought I would tell you because reporting is getting slower and slower responce times. Most of the posts for 360's are in the xbox section and I miss them lol.

ok I thought I needed 32 washers. Because what I'm doing is putting a steel washer then a nylon washer then putting the screw through the motherboard, then putting a nylon washer and a steel washer on top of the screw then securing the heatsink down. The problem is that the heatsink does not touch the processor when I do this method. I get 2 red lights right off the bat because the heatsink isn't touching anything.....

When I do the X-Clamp, I put a washer on the bottom between the screw head and the motherboard, and 2 between the motherboard and the heatsink.

ok ya I tried putting a washer between the mother board and screw and then putting two washers between the heatsink and the motherboard but this still does not work. I overheat it and I still get three red lights. Also it takes about 15 seconds for the 3 red lights to appear......

ok so I did everything right and followed the xbox 360 rrod fix guide to a "T" and I'm still getting the three red lights? Is it possible that I didn't put enough thermal paste on?

well sometimes x-clamp doesnt work, i had 2 that i couldent fix so i just parted them out.
