usb stick

does anyone know how to format a usb stick to work as xbox 360 memory card?
i saw it once but i can't find it
i was thinking of using a usb stick to make gamesaves
and right now i'm off to school in afew min so i don't have time to look at it right now

Ive seen it done for the xbox but not for the 360. With the xbox, you could just plug it in and it would format it. And please read the sections before you post. This is the xbox section. Not the 360 section. Read before you post next time.

sorry was in a rush this morning
idk i was reading on how if you format it some way and if you put the boot files from a memory card or something it would show as a memory card

You would need to be able to reformat it to FATX or whatever the 360 uses. I know the xbox uses FATX and you can format by just plugging it into your xbox. But the 360 recognizes it as media and not a drive to be formatted.

The 360 won't use USB devices to save game data. That Datel is just a microdrive stuffed in a slick case for storing media.

Don't buy either, learn how to take your HDD apart and SATA it yourself... Save ~$30 to $50...

i can't get a transfer kit because on the forum it ask for an elite serial

Well if you get the right person at xbox support then you wont need one at all but just use yours (doesn't matter if its an elite).
