what is the cheapest way to replace a cracked screen?
i saw some screen replacements on ebay thats just the glass and then someone told me that i need the lcd as well....
how would i replace it?
it works perfectly find but has a cracked screen

Try going to the apple store and tell them somee sotry about how you had it in a labtop bag when you got on a plane and when you got off your flight it was ceracked. Just dont say you dropped it.

I know this is old but I just solved this issue so if your still having problems here is what to do.

Go into the apple store, depending on the size of the crack, and if you have the apple care plan or not show them and they will replace it for you. If it looks like a spideweb style crack (looks like it got hit with a baseball) they will not replace it because that will consdier as abuse. But if you have a tiny crack on thew screen they will replace it for you. Also ANY ONE HAVING THE HAIRLINE CRACK ISSUE APPLE HAS TO REPLACE IT FOR FREE! Take it in and they will replace it.
