Lightbulb Tutorial: Mod Your Ipod's Backround And Font Color!

This tutorial was made by stoptherockets3 (if you wish to post on another website please link to this thread anywhere in your post)

THIS ONLY WORKS FOR THE IPOD VIDEO 5 GENERATION!

To mod your Ipod Video 30gb you will need the following :

Ipod Wizard : [Download Here]

Win-Rar : [Download Here]

Firmware : [Download Here]

Your Ipod Video 30gb!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so now that you have downloaded the programs from above you can now start to mod your Ipod Video 30gb...

There is many things that you can do with Ipod Wizard but I will show you only two of the things. [ I Will Add More] maybe...

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR BACKROUND:

Step One:

Open iPodWizard then change Edit Mode (at the top) to Firmware File. Click Open Firmware. Find the BHFC Firmware folder open it and then open the BHFC 5G Firmware file. Wait for it to load.

Click the image to open in full size.

Step Two:

Make sure that the Firmware editor tab and Picture tab are both highlighted. Click index and go to 138. You should see my custom background. To get your image as the background just drag the image right on top of my custom image. Sometimes you have to click one of the other tabs like font and then go back to the picture tab for the image to appear. Once your image is there your done with the background.

Click the image to open in full size.

Now that you have changed your Backround on your Ipod you must click on [Write To Ipod] once Ipod Wizard is done writing the firmware to your ipod you can then unplug your Ipod from your computer. Now when you turn it on your backround will be the picture that you picked!

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR FONT COLOR :

Step One:

To change the color click the Layout tab. Then change the Resource type to Font Types. On the white spot right below this type in 24222 and then click find. In the box on the right you should see an R... right below that you should see 0x0. Double click the 0x0. It will then pop up and ask you do you want to change the font color, click yes. All the colors will pop up just click the color you want and then click ok. Ok you just changed the font color for the menu text. To change all the font colors do the same thing as above just for different resources.
Change 24222 for Main Menu text (All main text on your iPod.)
24223 for Title Bar text (Also changes your "Do not disconnect" text, and your "Song # of #" text in 'Now Playing'.)
24224 for Titlebar Text Shadow (Text shadow in Stopwatch and Screen Lock.)
24225 for Secondary Text (Settings options and all other text.)
Each one can be a different color they don’t have to be all the same color. Play around with it till you find something you like.

Click the image to open in full size.

Writing To Your Ipod :

Once you are done with the font and the backround you can now write to your Ipod again for the second time by clicking [Write To Ipod] again. And when you turn on your Ipod again you will have a different font color!
