How to make a good cheating mod.

Requirements
You need FTP access
You can gain FTP access by using a Softmodded Xbox
You also need the Halo 2 Maps off your Xbox - This requires the link above.
You need AIO v2 - Click HERE for more info on this program.
And to get AIO to work you need .NET Framework V2 - Click HERE for more details on .NET Framework. If you cant get AIO V2 to work, then this is probably why!


This tutorial will teach you the following:
how to swap projectiles
how to make a weapon is fully auto
how to give a weapon infinate ammo
how to give a weapon auto aim
how to increase damage on a projectile
how to run fast while crouched
how to make a weapon the default weapon on the map
How to GET YOUR MAP TO LOAD!!! aka Resigning the map.

If you do not understand anny procedures in this tutorial, use this tutorial as a second source. That tutorial and this one are extremely similar and i acutally learned how to mod from that tutorial.

Before we start, make sure you have installed AIO V2 to your computer. Once you have it installed, it will be located in you START>ALL PROGRAMS section under All in One v2. Run that program and then we can start.

Let's Start!
Ok, I will be making this mod 4 Sancuary. In a new folder titled modz, make a copy of the deltatap.map, but still title the map deltatap.map. Open up DotHalo. Now open the deltatap map(sancuary) in the modz folder.

Swapping projectiles

I will use the battle rifle and the sniper bullet as a sample
Go to your weapons tag and select the battle rifle.

Ok, now go to dependencies. Find where it says objects\weapons\rifle\battle_rifle\projectiles\bat tle_rifle_bullet and swap it with objects\weapons\rifle\sniper_rifle\projectiles\sni per_bullet.

Now click save changes.

Auto Aim

Again the BR will be used as a sample

Select the weapon tag
Then select the battle rifle under the weapons tag
Now go to the tag editor and fill out the following inoformation so that your tag editor is the same as the following picture:

Giving the br infinate amo.

Do not exit out of the tag that was open from giving a weapon Auto aim

Scroll down in your tag editor, and change clip to zero.

Now, make change the following values as seen bellow

Making a weapon fully auto

Again, do not exit out of the weapon tag that u have been using
Now, scroll down even more, and change projectile to zero.

Change the following.

Now save changes.
Click the image to open in full size.
Now, close map. Open H2x and open the map you were just editing. Now go to the battle rifle, under weapons.

Now click meta editor. Go to firing type, change the triger id to 0.

Now go to projectile. And change the following values so they r the same as the picture bellow.

Now save changes, black first, then red.
Click the image to open in full size.
Now go ahead and exit h2x. You just mad the br, fully auto, have infanite amunation and have 360 auto aim.

Changing the damage of a projectile
Go back to dot halo, and re open the map. Now to make the sniper bullet sreally strong, go to

Damage Effect tag, and then sniper rifle bullet.

Now, do the following in the tag editor and save changes.

U just made the sniper bullet do tons of damage.

Now making a weapon the default weapon on a map
Now go to item collection tag.
Click the image to open in full size.
Go to smg.(note i used smg because the smg is the defualt weapon on sancuary)Go to dependencies.

Now change the smg to the battle rifle.
Click the image to open in full size.
Now save changes.
Click the image to open in full size.
U just made the Br the default starting weapon on the map.

How to crouch run fast
Now go to global tag.
Click the image to open in full size.
And make the following changes soo you will crouch run fast.

Resigning the map
Open samesig
make sure begining of string table is checked
when it askes 4 your original map, give them your original map, and when it askes 4 your moded map, give them your moded map.
