My bsp conversion finally worked, asension>metropolis bridge...i tried tons of mp maps, but thats the one.

I have question, I get to step #5 and I get an error when rebuilding the map stateing: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit, the application will close immediately.

Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.

ok im getting ready and i t comes up with this. i click sbsp tag and click bsp viewer and this comes up details continue or quite. and why is this happening. it wont let me load it. ive trried alot of stuff to fix it. like ive tried different ones. like 1.6 and others still same problem.

K, well, on my laptop conversion only takes like, 5 min lol, but how do i fix team spawns? I really dont want red team spawning at blue base lol

wow i cant even get the first step lol i open a sp map in entity beta 1.3 and entity 1.0 and it always says not a supported map time

nice tut but the way you explain it is the hardway..all i do is extract the sp bsp and then build it into my map then reset the spawns...its a lot easier well it might turn out as good but you get what you want nice tut by the way!!!^_^

hmmm i tried this method agian for the third time and for some reason h2c rebuilder becomes noresponsive for 6 hours [thats how long i waited before shutting it down] at processing the sp maps structure bsp so what is wrong??
and c4rbon for some reason i cant post new threads in the beginners or advanced tutorial section so ill pm to you

it has to be my entity or sumthing... i followed this tut exactly ... so easy to follow... understood everything 100%... but as soon as i go to view bsp ..i get

should we use gemini as our multiplayer map.. for its sbsp?

******* k..i got it to work..i might have figured out the problem with the error.. when viewing the sbsp.. after frustrating errors.over and over ..along with water..this time i started from stratch..cleared my maps downloaded clean maps even tho i knew mine were clean... got new shared.map, gemini.map, 03a_oldmombasa, single_player_shared.map, and main_menu.map ..put em in my folder.... and heres wat i think fixed the erros.. .even tho my paths in h2c and h2g for the shared.map single_player_shared.map and main_menu.map were the same.. i had deleted em and put diff ones in... same directory..but they were new clean maps.... so i went to my paths and clicked my new maps.. the path didn't change at all but iw as just being safe.... then wen i did it the same exact way i did it my first and 10th time haha... but this time it worked...so idk .. it wored for me..and i saw everyone else getting the same errors as me...if that helps let me kno... ******

I'm trying to do another one now, but i get that BSP viewer error a lot...I tried diffrent mp maps.

Also, when i get that unhandled exception error in entity, i look through the tags, in pretty much all the tags there is broken idents.

checked on and off looping sounds
done it three time and still doesnt work

Use containment as an MP map. Has the most scripts just incase you feel like adding respawnable AI later.

I'm working on delta towers 03 and converting it is fine with clean maps (colossus) but then modding it in any way (cloning netgame chunks, scenary placements etc) kills the map (freezes whilst loading) I tried to do the mods before the conversion and H2G wont have any of it

I'm thinking about converting a map placing a copy some where safe then building in the crap I want in the map then redecompiling the converted map and then deleting or adding chunks via H2G then rebuilding but that wont delete stuff (it should but doesn't)

could anyone give some advice to modding a bsp conversion?

hmm I might try using containment in future (big map may player spawns may weapon spawns teleporters all ready in scenary
