This is pretty simple. Tutorial for DotHalo

First, if you want the propjectile to be an actual projectile, open it in the projectile tag and change the Starting and Final Speed in the tag editor to 0, so it will fall straight down. If you want it to shoot a bipd, or something from the bloc or mach tag, then you dont need this step.

Second, go to the rocket launcher or plasma pistol in the [weap] tag and change the projectile(s) in the Dependencies Window to the projectile you changed in step 1.

Third. Scroll down in the tag editor to the Projectile section and click on the drop down box. Choose 0 if you changed the top projectile, and choose 1 if you changed the second projectile. When the page refreshed scroll down again.

Change the bullets per shot to to however many you want to fall from the sky. I suggest 10 for rockets and brute shots, 18 for grenades, and 1 for wraith shot.

Then change the X Spawn Coord to however far ahead of you you want them to fall. (I suggest anywhere 10-15).

Then change the Z Spawn Coord to 15.

Hey, I just wanted to say, that was one of the coolest tuts I've ever read, and though I haven't tried playing the map on my xbox yet, I've already fixed up Containment with 25 gauss bullets falling from the sky. Thanks for this tut, and your time. Nicely done.

you know when you haft to change the projectile on the rocket or the plasma pistol. can you change eny of the weopens or just that one

Hey, I'am new to halo 2 modding -I did mod my halo pc - but when I try editing the bullet per shot in the tag editor from dot.halo it says an error occurs, yes i am in the (1) in the little drop down menu for the projectile like you said, any idea what is wrong? Thanks

u do know that u can just easily put the z cord to 90 and then leave y and x blank, therefor, it will land wherever you shoot viola a sky raining weapon [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img]

if I do this with like say a whole bunch of needler projectiles, as long as i dont change the homing properties, will they still funnel down and sort of guide themselves to an enemy?

can you get the big rocks from maps liek coag or containment to fall from the sky and be on fire? my friend said he did it but i never got to see

that wont lag it up if it does not much. i have a fully automatic br 20 rof shooting gauss. that doesn't lag it up at all. i dont expect this would either.

yeah, i made a magnum shoot out 25 rockets, as if it were a shotgun, and it doesn't really lag. But if you dual wield and shoot as fast as you can, the sound messes up a little bit.

u dont need the proj speed to be set to zero, it will zoom towards the point u aim at. This is so easy...lol if you couldnt fiure this out without the tut, ur retarded
