Yeah, I had error 16, but I guess I didn't have error 21.

You had to of had error 21. Error 16 happens when you get error 21 and you leave your xbox unplugged long enough for the clock resets/

Ok, new problem: When i turn on my xbox it boots up fine, until the whole start-up animation finishes, then the screen just goes blank and stays blank. I tried booting up with a game and it did the same thing. The next time i booted it up with the disk tray open and closed it with a game in while the screen was blank (since the xbox is set to Auto-Run games...after like 5 minutes i got error 21.

When i went to use this tutorial again like i had before, i got to the xplorer part and when i tried to open the drive i got an error saying, "No Fatx Drive Detected". But when i went to my device manager my harddrive was there.

Also i noticed the IDE cable that came with the xbox had 2 of the little wires cut, so i took it out and replaced it with a PC IDE cable and re-did everything, but nothing worked....

PLEASE HELP!

what does an "open computer" mean?

It means to take the computer case off.

is this hard to do? i and have no knowledge of the innerworkings of the inside of the computer, other than if i touch it while its open ill probably get shocked.

m computer doesnt have a Device manager thing in it. at all. I searched for it, i clicked on the run program and typed in 'device manager' and i got an error message.

That wont work. Go to search and type in device in files and folders and it will show it.

I know I found it, but I never got the second HDD to show up in Device Manager, but I found out how to.

Ive never tried it on a laptop. I dunno you may be able to. If not try to find an old computer.

Ok so get this. I do it all correct the way it decribes in this guide, get it all like the pictures, then finish up, turn off the xbox after reconnecting the cords, i turn it back on and..... guess what it doesnt turn on. i cant say this was unexpected, but ill sell it to gamestop and buy my brothers.

Well what this tut does shouldnt affect that at all. Maybe you dont have everything plugged in right.
