Hot Swap xbox w/ windows prog TUT

Since all the other computer hotswaps deal with burning a linux cd which is confusing i made a hotswap tut using a windows prog.

*will not work with errors 6 and 7*
1. download Xplorer360 (yes it works for xbox1) from 360gamesaves.com

2. get ur xbox set up near ur computer and make sure u plugged in the video cables

3. loosin the IDE cable from the back of the xbox hard (this will make it easier to swap)

4. Look on the back of ur xbox hard drive where the power and IDE cables go in between them there should be some pinheaders and on one of them there will be white plastic connector peice connecting two pin headers , take that out and plug it in the master setting (usually on top of the xbox hard drive there is a little diagram explaining which setting is master.

5a. start up ur xbox and let it play a game for about five minutes and when five minutes is up swap it with the computer

or

5b.start up ur xbox by pushing the eject button and when the little microsoft logo appears below the big x swap xbox hard drive with the computer

6. Now after swapping (DO NOT TURN UR XBOX OFF UNTIL U REPLUG YOUR XBOX HARD DRIVE BACK TO THE XBOX'S IDE this is just for safety procedures) go to ur computer and go to Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware Tab>Device Manager.

7. Now highlight Disk Drives and then got to action (on the top) and click scan for hardware changes. Now in the disk drives tab u should see to drives come up which would be ur computer hard drive and ur xbox hard drive. (its ok if it doesn't come up some computers wont say anything)

8. Now start up Xplorer360, Once you have started it go to file>open>hard drive or memory card.
If nothing loads then that means you xbox hard drive was locked when you swapped it so restart from step 3 (dont worry if you dont get it on the first try you should eventually get it trust me.)

9. Now if your xbox hard drive does load you can browse ur xbox just like as if you FTP'd it but the files will be named in partitons

10. Now you can fix anything you did to ur xbox hd or you can apply a softmod save

Where do I put the game saves and then do I just use a Mech assault disk and apply the softmods.Also can I use ppfomatic and patch maps while the hard drive is connected?I want to copy the whole contents and use a different 8gig hard drive and copy all the contents over and lock it so incase I mess it up I can throw the original one back in.Any tutorials on cloning a xbox hard drive ?

you dont want to mod the halo 2 maps with Xplorer360 you mod the maps by ftping them applying pffs much easier

just search the partitions you will find the place where the gamesaves are

yes use mech assault if you put the mech softmod save on ur hd
