How To Record Video On PC While Still On TV Tutorial (With Pics)

Ok I Made This Tut after Reading Dark Razorz Post About Not KNowing How to Do this.
You Can Do this With any Capture Card (preferibly an ATI the have the Best Quality of products and Software to Date)
OK Lets Start

Materials Needed For This
1. A Capture Card With Input

LIKE SO(MAKE SURE ITS COMPONENT OR RGB)
2.A Video Source Such as DVD PLAYER, CAPTURE CARD, Xbox Anything with component output basicacly

Xbox Cables
3.Three Splitters Either with ONE MALE END AND TO FEMALE OR ONE FEMALE AND TWO MALE(we will be using the second type in the tutorial)

THE SPLITTERS
4.A TV ( you know what it looks like)
5.A PC with some sort of capturing program Hopefully you have one if not visit
Search results for Video Capturing Software - Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com
AND DOWNLOAD ONE

Ok Now That You Have All That Lets Start

STEP 1
Hook up your Xbox Cable to the Female end of the splitter

LIKE SO

STEP 2
Take one of the male ends and plug it into your capture card


Step 3
Hook up the other male end into your tv and plug your card in the rest of the way if external


STEP 4
Time to set it up on your Computer
1 open recording program
2 select recording device(CAPTURE CARD) (sometimes under file or edit)
3 SELECT THE CHANNEL (COMPOSITE)
4 Select how you want to record

DO NOT HIT RECORD YET

STEP 5
Turn your Tv on and Xbox make sure it works

Now you are ready to record while still on your tv and PC


Reminder Do Not
Record More than one game per file recorded(TOO Complicating to figure out games)
Also DONT SAY YOU FOUND THIS TUT ITS CLEARLY VISIBLE

Actually its my freinds he let me borrow it for a couple of weeks so truthfully i dont know but he said around a hundred
But if you want its Called ATI TV WONDER USB 2.0 also know that its not possible to get unless on ebay because its not manufactured any more its 1st or 2nd for the best ever made everywhere i go and ask about it they offer me money because there rare i guess

Yeah ATI Cap Cards have Kicka*s quality......Better than Dazzle IMO.

I have a ATI WONDER PRO thats is a internal cap card. Internal CC's have rape quality, better than external ones

no12else. you are wasting that capture card. you have dog**** quality. you know why? you host on youtube. and you dont capture svideo. if you were to get an svideo cable, capture on vdub, and tweak your settings, you would have the best quality out there, assuming of course you would host on mythica.

Hey Steggy 1. I know that My Quality isnt good im usung this CC off of a 512mb Ram PC With Celeron D Processor BelIve Me I know My Quality ISnt Good. 2. I Got This CC from my freind (Ocossin77) He Uses It Mostly and He Doesnt Have The Original Software So this was Recorded Using Windows Media Encoder Plus My Tv Does Not Have a SVideo Input So im kinda stuck Unless i record my video at my grandparents Because They Have Input for Svideo.
But I will try and do that So if anyone has some extra Ram for a compaq pc(512mb) or comes across a good deal can you send it my way also

first of all, youd need an svideo output to do what you think you would do. look on ebay for an xbox or xbox 360 svideo/composite av chord. you get the rwy and svideo chords.
u plug the svideo into the ati and split the red and white and put the rwy on the tv and the rw svid in the cc. u need to get virtual dub. its free, look for it on google. look on newegg for ram for a laptop even tho vdub only requires 512. do that and itll cost you like 10 bucks for the chord and maybe 40 or so for ram

OK Thanks I didnt do that yet but look at my new quality test im still tweaking it a little bit
