Wondering if anyone could offer some help with this one, because I'm just out of warranty and don't much feel like paying over $100 to get my third 360...

One day when I was in Halo 2, the game froze. Accompanied with the initial freeze was a loud static sound. The screen became blurred and pixelated in places, not dissimilar to when an old NES gets bumped while running.

I restarted, it was fine.

A while later, it did it again. I try restarting, it does it again before I can even sign into Live on H2. Next time it freezes on the dashboard. Third time it won't turn on, and I get a red ring of light with three lights flashing red, no picture on my TV. I try the scan and open button, error code is 0110.

5 or 6 hours later it's fine again. Later on, once again the same series of things happens. It keeps going in this cycle for a while, with the amount of time before it freezes becoming shorter and shorter each 5 or 6 hours between red RoL's.

Now, it won't turn on at all, after about 10 hours of waiting to see if it would work. Three red lights, error code is now 0022 instead of 0110.

Other things worth mentioning. My power brick for the 360 has gone red-lighted a couple times during the periods of my 360 freezing. The power brick would be hot at these times. When the 360 would fail without the brick going red, the brick would be green and cool to touch.
When the 360 froze, the lights would remain green as though nothing had happened.
And finally, whenever the 360 would freeze, it did not seem to be of any higher temperature than normal from touching the case of the system.

When it started freezing, I was doing nothing out of the ordinary, just sitting in the pregame lobby.

If any of this information helps find out new error code meanings or if you could offer a suggestion other than sending it to M$ (even if I do have to send it, knowing the most probable cause would feel better than just knowing it stopped working for some reason).

man i have had mine for ever and never once has had a problem. i was playing it 2 days ago, then it went pixelated on the screen so i turned it off. now when i turn it on i get error 74. i have tried 2 other peoples av cables and still the same thing. i cant send it in cause like i so did not use a modded disk in halo 2 to hot swap lol. thing was so easy it practically took itself apart so yeah no warrenty. boo hoo.

Read the first post then?

0022 CPU error, generally caused by a poor connection to the mainboard (cold solder joints/bridged solder joints). This can also be triggered by an error with the TSOP.

Anybody know my problem?
I have got 2 red lights and it's in a proper ventalation, and the fan is operating.
I did the X-Clamp fix and the "penny trick" for the RAM Chips.. And I figured out before I did the X-Clamp fix, I had 2 red lights, and before I had the penny trick I had 3 red lights.. Do you guys think its the penny trick? and if so how to replace it with something else?

I have 2 Small little heatsinks that sticks to the ram chips, and its not that thick or anything.. should I try that?

i have error 1022 There is high chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip near the AV cable connection) it can also be caused by a faulty AV cable so check that first. In some cases it is a problem with the GPU and may be repairable by doing the x-clamp replacement (see error 0102) what can i do to check the scaler chip yoke

It's a problem with the DVD drive. You'll have to figure out the exact problem yourself since the code represents multiple possible errors.
