| Making the Energy Sword Green Hi! This is my first tutorial, so I hope you guys like it. Insipration: I got the book Halo 2 Hacks a while ago, and it talked about MrMurder's Undeadlong, and how he made a clear distinction between human and zombie weapons. Well, the Zombie Sword (Viral Blade) was green, and it has an organic feel to it. I played around and found out how to do it, and I thought it would be fun to tell people. I will get pictures up sometime tonight, but right now I cannot get them up as I don't have much time. 1. Open your map in DotHalo. I am using Sanctuary, which proposes a problem. In order to get the green effect, you need a teleporter in your map. So, either open a map that DOES have a teleporter, or open up Insolence. a) Once in Insolence, open your map and the map you want the organic sword in. In my tutorial, I will use warlock.map and deltatap.map (Sanc) Scroll on down to the [shad] Shaders. The tags you are looking for are: objects\multi\2way_teleporter\shaders\2way_telepor ter objects\multi\2way_teleporter\shaders\2way_telepor ter_luminous objects\multi\2way_teleporter\shaders\teleporter_e mitter_core objects\multi\2way_teleporter\shaders\teleporter_p lasma objects\multi\2way_teleporter\shaders\teleporter_p lasma_receiver b) Once you have those in the map WITH the teleporter, transfer them on over to the new map (deltatap). Now you can close Insolence, or at least I do becase I find DotHalo easier to use. 2. In DotHalo, open up your new map (deltatap). Scroll on down to the [mode] Model tag. The tags you are looking for are: objects\weapons\melee\energy_blade\energy_blade objects\weapons\melee\energy_blade\fp_energy_blade \fp_energy_blade Once you have located these tags, open up the first one (objects\weapons\melee\energy_blade\energy_blade). In the Dependencies/LoneIDs window, you will see a whole bunch of shaders. Now change them all to (for the organic look), object\multi\2way_teleporter\shaders\teleporter_pl asma. Once all of the shaders in that box are changed, hit "Save Changes" and move on to the next [mode] tag. Change all of the shaders in the energy_blade and fp_energy_blade tags to teleporter_plasma. Now, for a really cool look, change them all to the teleporter_plasma shader besides the handle (Sorry, I don't know the name of the [shad], I already did this to all my maps becuz its so cool). For added coolness, go to Hex Workshop and rename the sword something cool (I renamed mine the Viral Blade, but only because it was a fitting name) Then just resign, and FTP to your Xbox. I hope this tutorial helped. Now please note I DID NOT FIND THIS OUT. I JUST FOUND OUT HOW TO DO IT. The person who figured this out was MrMurder, but I figured since it was so cool, I'd share it. Plz leave thanks, if I helped! Oh, P.S., I just remembered, the effect doesnt make the blade ALL green, I mean near the ends it starts to fade off, I like it how it is but you can try some other shaders if you want.
