Hey i got a couple of quick questions for ya if anyone knows the answer here I am getting ready to attempt to mod an xbox for a guy he has the chip already its the execuer 2.6ce and i was wondering will i have to flash the bios right away after install i never done this before but after reading the install tutorial I am confident I can manage i just am worried about what to do after chip is installed cause i know he will want to play his backups as i am sure that is the reason for the chip now you had said something about puting bios packs in with AID do you know how to do this and can you explain it to me with a little detail i dont have too many dvd-r's and not sure if i should use an rw or not cause i am not too familliar with the xbox yet I have studdied mostly ps2 up till now and after studying all this i am seriously wanting to get an xbox for myself lol now will this boot up on the xbox with the built in flash settings for the chip and do i even need to flash it to play backups hope im not asking too much i am wanting to make a profession out of this so i have been up all night researching and reading forums and tutorials i am bout to crash hard right now and am out of cigs lol well anything thus far would be helpfull thanks...

hey i have a few questions can someone answer for me said something about puting the bios in with aid updater can you elaborate on that i am putting a mod in for a friend and am researching this and i know that he cant play his back ups untill he flashes his bios his chip is an x-2.6 ce i was wondering if i have to flash the bios before even being able to install aid well thanks in advance for any help

im about to attempt to install a x 2.6ce on a friends xbox and i was wondering if you could elaborate on the bios part of the AID I have tried to post this question 3 times and every time i come back to check for replies my post is missing ??? dont know what that is all about anyway any help would be apreciated thanks

Im not sure if ur respondin to my cry for help when u said to try ur version of aid or not but you see my xbox wouldnt read any disks but orginal xbox games because for some reason the aid 3 reverted back to its original state when i tryed to update the dash, now my prob is that i get error message 7 which i now know that was me been stupid lol but ive tried to relock the hard drive with xbox hdd but no such look because i havent got the eeprom file(couldnt get it before i did hot swap coz it was xbox dash) now what i waas trying to is access the backup files i made before i attempted the dash update which are on the xbox hard drive (e:backup etc i used aid).....my prob now is that i need to lock the hard drive to put it back in xbox so it boot .......is there a way to do this without the eeprom or can i download a copy of it from the internet because i have found certain web sites offerin u the eeprom files for xbox v1.1-1.6 etc but for a cost. Are they right that every eeprom in that model range are the same(all eeprom in v1.1 same and so on) or they just tryin to scam people.....

You could buy a modchip and that would fix it...or use xboxhdm...I'm not familiar with it but its worth a shot.

hi thanx for advace ive got a couple of questions:
Ive actually tried xbox-hdd(linux boot disk) but i cant get my eeprom file it needs of my xbox to unlock and relock the hard drive my question is do you know if any eeprom(from a different xbox same version) will work or are they different with every xbox.
second question Ive i chipped it will that allow me to reinsert the hard drive without having to relock it or is chipping it alternative to soft modding...........Pc`s are my thing im quite new with xboxs but im starting to get use to it, u know......everyone learns through mistakes lol>.<

jomal206, dvd incrypter wasnt loading and then i dont know what kind of dvd or cd to use. plz help!

Go here for DVD Decrypter DVD Decrypter download DVDDecrypter
The download is right next to where it says DVDDecrypter 3.5.4.0. Download that and install. Then go to mode, iso, write. You'll need to hit the little folder icon, and browse to where you saved the .iso that you download from me. Use a DVD-R (note the -R, not +R) and burn the .iso file to DVD-R.

how much memory does this take up off of ur xbox?

AID3? I think the whole disc is like half a gig (500MB), but you don't have to install the whole thing. You can pick and choose what you want to install, most of the stuff on the disc I don't use, only a handful of emulators and a few apps
